The trains have 1 row per car so it makes it easier for the train to make tight turns and such. It isnt my favorite style of woodie coaster trains. The give an okay ride. I like the PTC trains better. Villain doesnt have millennium flyer trains, it has Gerstlauer trains. I cant say if its good or not because I havent been to SFWoA. I might go there after I get done with CP.
If you're looking for an opinion on SFWoA's modern woodie trains, they are decent. The problem with them is the track they run on. Otherwise you'll have adequet leg room, which is the most important thing in coasters with lap bars.
SFWoA's woodie trains are horrible G-Trains, 70% plastic. I would prefer other trains anyday. If you have any questions just PM me, SFWoA is my homepark.
OK thanks, i dont know much about wooden coasters, all i know is the ones i have been to at SF parks are horrible, and the 2 at Dorney park i thought were horrible.I really wanna go to Ohio this summer in aug, and i thought that villian looked like it could be my favorite wooden coaster and my feelings about SF wooden coasters would change, but i guess iam wrong, iam so disappointed.
Hey, Villain definitely won't do that for you... but the Big Dipper could if you rode it in the front seat! That is one of the best wooden coasters I have ever been on. It doesn't run G-Trains!
I didn't ride Big Dipper in front seat, and if you don't, there is absolutly no chance you'll like any SFWoA woodies. The only one I liked was the second half of Raging Wolf Bobs, and only because it had some really wicked turns, but no air. Otherwise, Big Dipper was washboarding a bit, Villian washboarded way too much, and the first half of Bobs was almost as bad as my rides on Gwazi at BGT, which were my worst coaster rides ever. Expect absolutly nothing from SFWoA wood, and you'll get a little out of the second half of Bobs, and some out of Big Dipper. Otherwise, no offense Zak, they suck.
Maybe I hit it on a very bad day, it doesn't matter to me, but it sucked. In terms of smoothness, it is to Shockwave what Shockwave was to Raging Bull. The only good thing about it was the way it looks from the ground. It's one of the coolest looking woodies in the world. Too bad it didn't ride that way for me.
Wow, thats pretty rough. I always thought that it was one of the coolest looking wooden rides out there too. Its dissapointin when something looks like its going to be great but then it sucks. Mean Streak comes to mind right away.
My Top 5: 1)TTD, 2)Millennium Force, 3)Raptor, 4)Deja Vu, 5)Raging Bull

Shocewave looked really smooth iun the video of it on this site. But I don't know because it was closed when I went. Does anybody know if it was open during fright fest?
Shockwave's deconstruction began in late September, so no, it wouldn't have been open... Wow, that seems like just yesterday, and now it's almost a year later!
When I rode it, it didn't feel very rough to me. All I noticed was that I was in the back car and I wasn't getting any airtime. It didn't feel any rougher than other wood coasters to me. Maybe I caught it on a good day or something.

I dont understand how a caoster suck that has PTC's on it, i mean i didnt really care for hercules, but it wasnt that bad, just got dizzy. I love PTC's they are the best that i have been on so far.
