A painter fell into an icy pond while painting Ninja at Six Flags Over Georgia. I'm confident that he will recover.

Poor guy. I pray that he's ok. I once fell into 20* water and it's not fun at all.

I still find it funny and ironic that he was painting Ninja while this happened.

^Ironic maybe.

Hopefully he will pull throw and hopefully the person who tried to save him is okay. He did a great thing to help a friend.

The man has died:

Six Flags Accident Kills Contractor
A man has died after an accident at Six Flags Over Georgia. Park officials say the contract worker was on a pontoon boat painting the underside of the "Ninja" roller coaster when a boat rail came loose. He fell into the water below.

Sad to hear.

Ahh, I was wondering what you meant by funny and ironic.

So sad to hear. I pray for his family.

It sounds like the pontoon they were using was designed for residential use, since the railing wasn't sturdy. I wonder if Six Flags will require its employees and contracted workers to use only commerical watercraft from now on when performing maintenance work in the water.

I hope so. While this is very sad, and i'm not trying to be negative, but don't you think that SF should've inspected the boat, 1, and 2, use a commercial boat like twixmix said.

But it really is very sad. I didn't know him but anyone who dies working on a coaster is a hero to me. :)

Technically, they couldn't have because the painters were another company that they hired to paint the ride (at least that's how it sounds from the article). What they could have done was only hire a company that is using the proper equipment.
