Six Flags Accident Kills Contractor A man has died after an accident at Six Flags Over Georgia. Park officials say the contract worker was on a pontoon boat painting the underside of the "Ninja" roller coaster when a boat rail came loose. He fell into the water below.
It sounds like the pontoon they were using was designed for residential use, since the railing wasn't sturdy. I wonder if Six Flags will require its employees and contracted workers to use only commerical watercraft from now on when performing maintenance work in the water.
I hope so. While this is very sad, and i'm not trying to be negative, but don't you think that SF should've inspected the boat, 1, and 2, use a commercial boat like twixmix said.
But it really is very sad. I didn't know him but anyone who dies working on a coaster is a hero to me.

Technically, they couldn't have because the painters were another company that they hired to paint the ride (at least that's how it sounds from the article). What they could have done was only hire a company that is using the proper equipment.
