Great America Trip

Hey people. I am new to this site and I wanted to ask you veterans some questions. I'm visiting my friend in Chicago this week and she is taking me to Great America on Thursday. This is my first time going to the park and I don't know what to expect. Can you give me some insight on the rides there, what to ride and what to avoid? I'm definitely a big roller coaster fan and I can't wait to ride the ones Great America has to offer.I am open to all opinions and insights.Thanks

Hello, and welcome to the forums... I moved this to the meetings and gatherings forum, after you go you can post a trip report in the trip report forums if you wish.What to avoid: Deja Vu and Ice Mountain Splash....they will be closed the whole day.I suggest going to Southwest Territory first and saving Superman for the end of the day. Thats what I have been doing this year and it has worked great since most people are heading to Superman first which leaves Raging Bull and Viper empty. The east side of the park is usually crowded until a few hours before closing, so I suggest holding off on that side of the park as long as you can, and don't get in line for Superman until 15 minutes before the park closes (unless you want to ride it more than once.)Well those are my suggestions, hope I could help. hey i didn't want to start a new thread just to ask one question.. if anyone has the pamphlet they gave you with your season pass w/ all the coupons and days to bring people for free.. could u list the remaining days you can bring people for free? it would be a GREAT help.. i lost my little blue pamphlet and i can't find it!! AHH!! lol and my friends and i wanna go but we want to go on one of those days.. whoever posts.. i will LOVE YOU FOREVER!! haha thanks =)
