Final Destination 3 - Roller Coaster of Doom

Talk about anything that has to do with the amusement park industry here.

Well, it looks like the (*sigh*) 3rd final destination will be about a rollercoaster of doom. I saw the trailer (cannot find it online yet) before SAW2 tonight.

This topic isn't to discuss the movie, but more so the rollercoaster part of it. I have no clue what rollercoaster it is, or who made it. In the trailer it derails in the loop and goes flying off the track. Also riders somehow manage to get out of their restraints during the ride.

I hope this doesn't give people the wrong impression of the amusement industry, as they are obviously capitalizing on peoples fears of what might go wrong on a ride.

It looks cool. You can see the trailer at the movie website.

Here: http://www.fd3movie.com/

The coaster is somewhere in Canada. I read what coaster it was a while back. Can't remeber what it is at the moment. They call it "Devil's Flight" in the movie.

I DONT LIKE THAT AT ALL  That stuff scares the **** out of me....
Like remember in house on haunted hill when they had the hulk derail? Or that CSI miami episode where people were flung off? It wasnt cool because I think too deeply about it really happening. I may cry cause itll scare me so much :?

Upon further looking, I did find a trailor (thanks dave). You can get it at the above link.

It was filmed at Playland Amusement Park, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

Dave says that it's probably this rollercoaster -

The trailor has 3 things happening to the train. 1, the restrains pop open. 2, the wheel comes off. 3, the track breaks and the train hits it.

California Screamin? I thought they were filming in Canada? If it is California Screamin', that's kind of awkward since it did crash this year.

I saw the one where there plain crashed. I almost didnt go to Miami because of that. Glad I snapped out of it. I dont think that movie would influence me not going on a ride because I know how incredibly safe they are(excluding intamin coasters).

Meh, just saw the trailer, looks okay. I'll probably see it just because it is coaster-related.

Wow cant wait to see that movie. The first two were awesome and with this one coaster realated its going to be even better. I agree with Dave it has to be the playland coaster. It very closley resembles it. Nice find!

Now that I think about it, it seems like "death" (seen unrealistically in the movie as some outside force with a mind) is what caused the roller coaster accidents. So maybe people know that death as a force is all fictional and won't have any changes in attitude towards coasters. Just a thought.

I don't know if i like these movies about rides crashing. There are so many misguided people who think that roller coasters are dangerous that are getting more fire for their spark by this movie.

Only every amusement park in the country, because if people won't ride roller coasters, then there really isn't an amusement park business anymore.
