They "need" them for more publicity...guests will hear about them and that means more$$$-obviously
The video for EL TORO is simply amazing...that ending twisted finale is right to left right to left and so on back and forth the first drop, (sigh)...sooo nice This ride is meant to resemble the charging of a bull as it paces around.
Why ! I really hope for something big to come soon

Thanks for the double post. We didn't catch it the first time.
Welcome to ShockWave please pull your harness down as far as it will go. While riding ShockWave please keep your hands and feet inside the car, and your head against the headrest, please hold on to all loose articles, especially hats and glasses. Enjoy your ride!

The coaster looks good, but it is something I will not go out of my way to go ride, it just doesnt have anything unique. It has a steep drop, tall, and maybe some air-time, but it is SF, it is going to be messed up somehow. It is cool to see another new coaster that contains some record going over to SFGAdv, but to me, it just isnt very appealing, I am more excited for Voyage.
Universal Orlando Mechanical Engineer Marathon down, Goofy to go.
Since this is pre-fabricated track, this will feel NOTHING like SOB. I personally have never ridden Balder or Colossus, but the reports I've heard say that they ride as smooth as steel coasters, which is pretty amazing. I am really looking forward to this ride. I can't decide which one of the two woodies I'm drooling over more, though.
Dan and Wizard, you guys just don't appreciate good wood when you see it.
When I watched the video I kept thinking of Voyage...and how it doesn't really match up to it. Looks to be a good coaster though, I guess no one can really say anything until they're both standing and operating.
1. Voyage
2. X
3. Millenium Force
4. Top Thrill Dragster
5. Raging Bull
ElToro seems to be a near clone of Colossos at Heide Park in Germany, exept folded up a bit (180 turn off the lift instead of 90), track length is even the same. If that is indeed what it is, SFGAdv has one hell of a coaster on their hands. Colossos give airtime like you wouldnt believe, turn at the far end is sweet also. Ride exactly like any Steel Coaster, cars even use the Polyurathane wheels (basically Intamin Hyper coaster train, but with 3 rows per car, and made butt ugly).
Only thing is it looses speed really fast (probably with the poly wheels), but with such a short track length(considering the height and speed) it really isnt all that noticeable, exept for how the hills get significantly shorter from one to the next, but it still hits each and every hill just right.
Very nice!

Not only is SOB rough, but the train's restraints are brutal. I suppose the reason they are so tight is because of the loop but those restraints are perhaps the worst restraints I know of. I have never wanted "out of" a ride so much on the brake run.
