So it's been pouring rain for a good 6 hours now, letting up occasionally but never completly stopping.

Seriously, are we getting owned by Rita here or something?

Nope, Rita's remenats are heading to the Southeast of Milwaukee/Chicago area.

Northern Wisconsin is being impacted by a cold front, which is the reason for the bad weather.

Some of Rita did scoot through the southern area (basically south of I80 with exception of far eastern Illinois where it stayed south of i190.

A lot of the moisture that is interacting with this front (which came through as a warm front last night, and was stationary througout most of the day today) is from Rita. As of now, the front has cleared most of the Chicago area and drier conditions should prevail the next couple of days.

You know what they say....be careful what you wish for. We have been wishing for rain almost ALL summer.......but by god, we didn't intend for all of summers rain to come down in 4 days.

I think it was nice to get a lot of rain. Kind of annoying, but yeah... Sunday it rained nonstop.

Humidity is rising - Barometer's getting low
According to all sources, the street's the place to go
Cause tonight for the first time
Just about half-past ten
For the first time in history
It's gonna start raining men.

It's Raining Men! Hallelujah! - It's Raining Men! Amen!
I'm gonna go out to run and let myself get
Absolutely soaking wet!
It's Raining Men! Hallelujah!
It's Raining Men! Every Specimen!
Tall, blonde, dark and lean
Rough and tough and strong and mean

God bless Mother Nature, she's a single woman too
She took off to heaven and she did what she had to do
She taught every angel to rearrange the sky
So that each and every woman could find her perfect guy
It's Raining Men! Hallelujah! - It's Raining Men! Amen!
It's Raining Men! Hallelujah!
It's Raining Men! Ame---------nnnn!

I feel stormy weather / Moving in about to begin
Hear the thunder / Don't you lose your head
Rip off the roof and stay in bed

God bless Mother Nature, she's a single woman too
She took off to heaven and she did what she had to do
She taught every angel to rearrange the sky
So that each and every woman could find her perfect guy
It's Raining Men! Yeah!

You are right about that one. Last few days we've gotten 2-3" of the wet stuff. I forgot what it's called, as it's been WAAAAAAAAAY too long since i've seen it.
