OK it's offical.... the hotel is booked and I'm ready to go!! Ok so I'm a little early but I am still excited!!

Looks like I will be leaving work at 11:30 that Friday (14th) and we should be up there about 8pm-9pm and then me and my nephew will be heading over to the park for those last 2 hours just to check it out and try to sneak in a Mr Freeze night ride!! Then of course open to close on Saturday (15th). I won't be spending any time in the hotel... hopefully the pool at the Holiday Inn is open late

I'll find a way to meet you. It will probably be on saturday, or I might take a 1/2 day at work, and visit friday. Too bad your not there on Sunday. The Sundays are usually dead with multiple mini marathons possible.
It's the most fun in the park when your laughing in the dark.

What city are you leaving from. St Louis from the Joliet area down here is about 4-41/2 hrs. We are thinking about making a trip also sometime in october for a weekend, but we're also thinking about hitting Silver Dollar City for Powder Keg too.

I'm going on the 1st, which is the day of my homecoming dance but oh well. I'd much rather go to SFSTL.

I hope you enjoy your trip.

I believe the pool is open unil 10 or 11, but don't quote me on that. The Holiday Inn is a nice hotel, and it's within walking (5 min) distance from the park.

Be sure to check out the pictures in the Mc Donalds just down the hill from the hotel. Those of you who have been there before know what I am talking about.

Thanks!!

I know! I love the Holiday Inn.. it's such a unique one. This will be my 3rd time there.. we keep going back :D

Are you talking about the McDonalds that is attatched to the gas station right across from the hotel? I've been through the drive-thru (me=lazy) but never went in. I'll have to check it out!
