I'll be at the park throughout that week, but I can't tell you what to expect. This topic might get locked, but we'll have to wait and see what the weather forecast is like. If I had to venture a guess, June 30 and July 1 would probably not draw a huge crowd, as people are still at work and it's early in the week. If there were to be larger crowds, it would most likely be July 3rd - July 6th (actual July 4th weekend where people may take days off).

(Yes, topics asking if it will be busy or not usually get locked. Although one for Memorial Day weekend and Mothers Day didn't get locked so maybe 4th of July won't either?)Also I wonder if Summerfest affects SFGAm attendence at all. It's hard to tell wether it takes away park guests cus there all in Milwaukee or if will bring more cus people will want to go to both Summerfest and GAm. IDK

I'm not familiar with Summerfest, but as you said Dre, Summerfest may take away some crowds or bring the crowds to SFGAm. If we're going down this route, the same thing may be said of Taste of Chicago. Those who are coming into Chicago may stick with Downtown, or decide to check out SFGAm along the way. We'll just have to wait it out.

For those who don't know summer fest is a annual fest in Millwalkee(sp??). The taste of Chicago might also take away some crowds, also if it is upwards of 100 degrees by any chance there definitly won't be any crowds.

Hehe, when I was there last year it was 110 degrees...literally. And the crowds were very large!!! The lines were really long. So I don't know what you said is true.Anyways, if you wanna find out more about Summerfest go to http://www.summerfest.com . They got some pretty famous people playing there this year!! I can't wait to go.

Thanks for the info. Looks like a lot of fun up there in Wisconsin. I've seen these bands perform live, but I wouldn't mind seeing O.A.R., Good Charlotte, Foo Fighters, or Default at Summerfest. I might be one of those people who you took away from SFGAm for a week.Edit: Another crowd-drawer for SFGAm may be the MLB All-Star game a month from now. I'll be volunteering at Downtown Chicago all that week for the All-Star Game, and one task is to highlight Chicagoland(SFGAm would be on that list, and could bring some out-of-town families to SFGAm).

yea we went close to 4th of july last year, it actually wasn't that bad. it was really hot but the lines weren't that bad. on the same note, is anyone going on father's day and should we expect a big crowd, because if not, we aren't even going to bother with speed passes if it's not going to be that bad.. anyone ever went on father's day before? what's it like?
Need a break from college homework.. 2004 season, come faster!!
