Do smokers turn you off??

A Off-Topic forum to discuss things that aren't related to the Amusement Park Industry.

I don't hate anyone, especially smokers, but I would rather have a non-smoker than a smoker. To me, it even seems like smokers age more than non-smokers. I don't know. :? Thoughts.

I get along with smokers and have smokers for friends, but I wouldn't date a smoker.

So let me get this straight.... you meet a beautiful girl that you just click with so well and have so much in common that it is almost like you two were made for each other... you would say forget it if she lit up a cigarette? I'm just curious. It doesn't really matter to me... if the guy treats me well and makes me laugh... well that's all I look for. But I know to each their own...

I wouldn't. Second hand smoke is worse for you than if you smoke regularly and you lit up a cigarette/cigar/pipe and you inhale all the smoke.

Here's my thought on smoking. I feel a long post coming on

I never/will smoke ever in my life. I find it stupid. All it is is a stick of death. One cigarrette take away 8-11 minutes of your life away. Why waste 8-11 just by smoking one cigarrette when you could be doing something fun or exciting for that last 8-11 minutes. I understand that when cigarrettes came out, people had no idea what was in them and they thought that it was just another fad that would most likely die down some day. But then everyone started to find out that it kills and the people that did it were already addicted to it and couldn't stop. I understand that and I don't blame them, but if you go pretty much anywhere, you will find young people (and I'll tell you how young) smoking and they know that it kills because they've been through the D.A.R.E program (If they haven't, then it's just common sence that intaking smoke can kill you). May thought on smoking is that if you wanna kill yourself, then just go up to a gas pump and drink the gas because it does the same exact thing to you as smoking does. i was at the skatepark one time this summer and I looked behind a 9ft quarter pipe and I saw this kid that I know and he was smoking. Now get this. That kid is 11 years old. That is way to young to be smoking. Not only does he smoke but people have said that he drinks beer and I think someone said that he does drugs. The younger people that smoke think that they are so cool because they smoke. Well, they're not cool. Smoking is not cool. it kills!!!

I'm not in favor of smoking at all, but if you look at the other side, there are other things that kill. Cars are big one along with guns, and even alcohol. Add a person drunk in a car, and you might have a fatal accident. It is really sad, but some people choose to take the chance.

Anyway, I wasn't really going for whether you smoke or not topic. I just wanted to see whether you would choose someone who smokes.

To punkbunny2424, for me it does matter. Cigarette smoke just smells so bad to me even if you try to cover it up. Again, I have nothing against the actual person, but rather the smell of the smoke.

I was just saying what I felt about smoking. I have no problems with a person who smokes just as long as they go somewhere else and do it so I (or anyone who doesn't want to) inhail the smoke. I'd rather have some one who doesn't smoke rather than some one who does, but if they do, it doesn't bother me. Just as long as i don't.

I like the smell of nicotine in a cigarette. I wouldn't smoke, and don't really approve it, but I love that smell!

If you are truly meant to be you shouldn't have to change them, but If they are really into you and they know that you hate smoking they will most likely change that, especially if you end up married and having kids, because you don't want to be smoking around young kids like that.

Smoking, I don't like. I'm allergic. But smokers? not always their own fault. Sure, it smells and it tastes bad to kiss them, but if the person is really something, its worth it. (complain enough about it and they'll stop)
What you don't understand you can make mean anything.
