It's $5, and you can park closer to the Front Gates. This is additional to the $10 fee for parking.

Yes, and if you have a parking pass on your season pass, they will give you a ticket for the prefered parking section.

What is this about giving a ticket for Preferred Parking to Parking Season Pass holders? I didn't receive anything during my visit today, but didn't have any problems finding a spot close to the gates.

I guess I had to dig this one up. With a season pass parking sticker, you still have to pay the extra 5 dollars, right?

They did this at SFGAdv and some of the preferred is actually a little bit farther than some of the other parking. I just got to the park early and saved my $5!

I would much rather walk all the way from the 2nd lot then give SF any more of my money. I find this pointless and another little scheme to make more money. Or is it to help fund next years coaster .

It better be to make more money for a new coaster. Most likely its just a scheme.

The Funny thing is last time I parked right in front of the gate for prefered parking. There were cars filled inside the gates and they paid 5 extra dollars to park 10 feet closer to the entrance. If it helps fund for a new ride, I can't complain. But yeah, I wouldn't waste my 5 dollars on that. I could almost get two drinks for that amount. ;)

Exactly coasterdude04.When you drive up by the toll gates, just look to your left to see how full the lot is. If its relatively empty, than bypass purchasing a preferred ticket.
