Premium Season Pass: Question

Talk about anything that has to do with the amusement park industry here.
Postby coastermaniac04 on July 7th, 2005, 10:05 am
I was at SFSTL a couple of days ago, and I heard someone mention something about a Premium Season Pass. Apparently, in the shops at SFSTL, if you have a normal season pass, you can get 10% off your purchases, but if you have a Premium season pass, you can get as much as 40% off or something. Apparently, there are other benefits that come with a premium season pass, but I didn't even know it exsisted. Can anyone explain all the benefits you get with it/how much more costly it is/how you can go about getting one? When I purchased my season pass, I didn't see anything at all about buying a premium season pass, so I was just wondering if it was some kind of big secret, or only certain people can get one, or something odd like that.

I have never seen or heard about a season pass. The season pass is their best offer, and you get a coupon book with it. As far as I know, there are no "Premium" Season Passes.

I think some of the other SF parks have things like that. We get coupon books and other parks have a certain percent off of things for season passholders.

At SFStL, they have a Premium pass that you could pay an extra charge4 to get 25% off merchandise and food. They also give out a season pass book since I do have one of those season pass books for this year.

At SFSTL regular season pass holders get 10% off everything... I think. Ihauntu2 am I correct? I have been there 2 times so far and everytime I buy anything.. including a soda refill they ask if I have a season pass and they give me 10% discount.

SFSTL does have a Premium pass and it is either gold or silver (I was talking to a woman that had one) and she said that she got 25% off of all purchases.

^ That is correct. In our season pass books there is a list of all stores that you can recieve a discount at. There is an additional upcharge that you can pay for a premium pass. I believe they are calling them platinum or gold, and they do offer up to 25% off at some stores, but most stores it is only 10-15%. They also give a different coupon book to premium pass holders that include more freebie and discount items in addition to the regular passholder book.

I remember looking at it last year, and it wasn't worth the upcharge for me.

On a side note, my season pass discount also applies at any other SFI park that offers discounts to season pass holders. The premium pass additional discounts only apply to SFSTL.

When you buy a season pass you get the pass, a coupon book, and you can request a parking pass.

I'll bet you can get your picture taken too. :roll:

Come to think of it that may be how I ended up with that funny shaped sticker on my windshield in Eureka, and then that other sticker on my pass in Gurnee.

The discount at SFSTL works for any season pass from any park. So when you folks with the SFGAM passes come down to SFSTL, make sure to show your pass at any shop just in case they offer a discount.

Most of the shops have a sign in the front indicating whether they offer the discount or not, but if anyone wants a list of the shops, PM me and I'll supply it.

I was filing some old paperwork last night when I found this in my Season Pass Package from March of this year.

" 'Platinum Plus' Program - Enhance Your Season Pass Benefits

For an additional $19.99 (plus tax, per upgrade), Platinum Plus members receive over $50 in Super Six Flags benefits. In addition to your regular season pass perks, each Platinum Plus member receives:

* Save 25% on select food & merchandise, plus:
* 1 Free Platinum Plus Member T-shirt
* 1 Free 32oz Sports Bottle
* 1 Free Go Kart Ride with passenger (rider restrictions may apply)
* 1 Free Single Tube Rental in Hurricane Harbor
* 1 Free Admission to a Haunted House during Fright Fest
* 1 Free Play at Milk Can Game
* 1 Free Play at Race Game
(Call (xxx) xxx-xxxx for additional information) "

Please note that this information is from a flyer in March, the price may have changed by now. Also this only applies to SFSTL season passes. I don't think they will allow you to upgrade another parks season pass. I removed the phone number because I'm not sure of the legal issues posting a private business phone number on the web. If you have a SFSTL season pass and want to upgrade PM me and I'll give you that number.

I know that last year the 25% off only applied to a few stores - the rest were 10-15% discounts, but that may have changed to more stores this season.

Geeze... next year I'll probably buy a SFSTL pass. That is an awesome deal! I go there about 2 or 3 times a season so it would be worth it. Did I hear you say that on your SFSTL pass you have a SFGAM parking pass sticker on it? That is what I was wondering.. next year if I get a SFSTL pass can I put a SFGAM parking pass sticker on it. I stay at the Holiday Inn across the street from SFSTL so I would not need a parking pass for there. Thanks!

Yes, I have a SFGAM parking pass on my SFSTL season pass. I placed it over the same spot as on a regular SFGAM pass. The guest relations folks at SFGAM said it wasn't a problem to do that. So far no one has given me any hassle at the gate, but I keep my reciept and the sheet that the parking pass came on in my car just in case.

At SFGAm they said I had to place it over the "Flags."
