X @ SFMM... Underated?

Talk about anything that has to do with the amusement park industry here.

Various people that I know have been on this ride and they say its very underrated. I think that people have looked into the problems that it has a little too much. Just because a ride has problems i dont think points should be taken away from it.

It did make the America's Coolest Coaster list on Travel Channel. I also heard from people this ride is rough, but still enjoyable to some people. Are there any X fans out there? Has anyone ever Xperienced this ride?

I've never been on X or to SFMM, but will my first in 2007.
I don't know ALL the Facts!!!!!!

X is great, it's a little rough towards the back. But it wasn't that bad when I rode it. It's my favorite coaster by far since it's so unique and gives a totally different experience then any other coaster.

And yes I think one of the reason's it's overlooked is because it had so much downtime when it was built. But it has run good for the past 2 years with 2 trains as far as I know....but no matter how good it runs people will probably always think it's unreliable.

Also just because a coaster didn't make a Travel Channel show doesn't mean it's not one of the best rides in the world.

X's first drop alone makes it the best coaster I've ever been on. So intense and you never know where your going next. I rode in 2nd row and it was smooth as glass for me. I just wish they would start building more of them around here!

And by the way the Travel Channel definatly doesn't show only great coasters on their shows. I think every show includes a SLC from SFDL or something like that. I don't know why but they never come to our park for anything.

X is very intense. I've only had the chance to be on it once. It's not too rough, and it does give you a wth is next feeling.

Just because The Travel Channel doesn't have X on its shows doesn't say anything. I think they did however, put Iron Dragon on once.

X is a good ride, people think the same of X as they do of Deja Vu, they are both doing better now and are both very fun rides, and beginning to get more reliable.

I loved X rode it a few years back. The first drop is probably one on the best ever. My only problem is the harnes is tough to get in to if you are a little large. Ohtyer than that this rides is munber 1 on my list.

Ok, I just looked @ Magic Mountains website and read the facts about X. It used to say this ride is down every Wed. but its now not listed anymore. It must be open everyday now. Plus how many trains does X have?

^^ They haven't had the ride closed on Wednesdays since Summer 2003, it's amazing how so many people still remember that! You're correct, it usually is open everyday now. X is a great ride in my opinion, although it is rough, it does not bother me too much. It's getting rougher, but it's still enjoyable to those that can take roughness.

I've been on it and its a great ride definitly the best I have ever been on. I wouldn't say it is underated though everyone knows about it and it was one of the most hyped up coasters ever(and for good reason).
