Any Musicians?

I was just wondering if any of the people in the forums at sfgamworld play any musical instruments.

I play guitar, cello, bass, and some drums.

Mostly guitar. I take lessons and i ve been taking lessons for a little over a year. Im ok. I can play AFi leaving song part two intro, afi silver and col, the used, take it away, the used all that ive got, guns and roses sweet child o mine, and this metallica son i forgot the name. Well i can play a lot more like green day and stuff but it would take forever to name all the songs i can play.

So are then any musicians out here? And please be honest when you say what you play. And i mean play as in you can read sheet music and tabs not just o yeah ive picked a guitar and plucked a string.

so what do you play, how long have you played and what can you play?

Eb Soprano Cornet - Smaller version of a Cornet that plays a lot higher.
Bb Cornet - Like the Trumpet but smaller and more mellow.

I've been a musician since 1988 (I was in 3rd grade at the time).
I'm still playing and active. Mostly with Piano and I play in a Brass
band.

I'm a budding seft taught guitarist. So I guess i don't count in the reading music category. But I can figure out songs better than trying to read tabulature, those things get confusing because there are so many ways to play the same chords and notes. If I play songs from other bands, its usually cake or the beatles

I can also play a mean irish penny whistle or any other 6 to 7 hole flute like instrument, also played by ear.

I prefer to write songs and make up songs for instruments and voice than trying to sing or play others songs. Although it is very helpful to play others things in order to figure out how to play your own stuff.

I'm not a band kid, but I'm in theatre, so its close enough.

oh jeez, currently I play Guitar but I own and can play Bass and Keyboard. I used to have a drum kit but I sold it but I played that for about 2.5 years. I used to play Trombone (former bandie) and before that violin. so yeah.

ok, i play piano but i aslo sing. technically singing IS playing an instrument, your vocal cords! quite a workout for those beauties!
