There was an issue a while back. The MODs and Admins will normally take care of double posts now. No big deal.

Because people will do it all the time and then the people who post after them will look real stupid.

That's why there's a quote button.

but if you're always quoting the person above you, posts can get long and messy.
I don't have a detonator; its on a timer.
A countdown timer?
No, a count-up timer. It goes from one to explode.

Truth is, about a year ago TBiggs went nuts and started deleting all the posts in every forum. Luckly we had a backup of the forum and everything was back up and running. Now to prevent and user of ever doing this, we disabled the delete function for everyone except Moderators and Admins. It's just an added safety measure. Although one user going and deleting all their posts might not seem like a big deal, but it can really make a post/conversation hard to follow.

So we can't get rid of an accidental post because there's a chance someone might go on a crazed post-deleting rampage and *gasp!* make some conversations harder to follow?!

Of all the forums I've been on, I've never seen (or noticed) anyone do that. And if someone wanted to do that, they could just edit their posts with nothing.

Well It happened here, and so we're just taking an extra measure for security. It's not really hurting anyone.
