I have done a story timelime before over at 1890andBeyond.com for RCT2, and I have been wanting to do a similar storyline. Well, now that I have RCT3 running smoothly enough, I am going to go ahead a try it again.
Events will be cataloged every three RCT years, and the story will be told for the three year intervals. Rides will be added, and rides will be taken out. I will use the RCT3 money system (God help me there ), to have I, or my fictional owner, expand the park. Will the park prosper and grow, or will the park fall apart, and close?
The first part of the story will be the first five years of the park. I hope to start sometime tonight, but if not, it will be tomorrow. If you have not seen the promotional video, check it out here at http://www.nicksvideo.com/tycoon3d/Brookfield.wmv
I am going to keep this a realistic park as I can. You will not see coasters going through buildings, 10 inversion coasters. Just rides that you would really run into in a real park.

I will get alot more into detail about the finer parts of the park within the next 3 years. I am taking a finanical hit on my next addition to the park.
RCT3 has its problems. I guess its all up to the person if they can adjust to the new visual, camera movement, and gameplay. For me, once I learned how to operate everything, and get the game to run somewhat smoothly, I am having a blast.
A new update is coming soon, along with the complete personal story to the park. The new section is almost complete. Also, there will be a new video coming very soon to promote the new section, but beware, this video will be large. Lets just say if you were going to invest in the park, this is the video I would pitch to you.
side note: I am trying to figure a way to get some of you involved in the park. Whether it be by investors, or something else.
Our story begins with a 35 year old man named Jonathen Stephens. Mr. Stephens had a passion for amusement parks, especailly traditional parks. He was fascinated by parks like Palasaides park, riverview park, and the old Coney Island parks of the past. He noticed how the energy, the passion, and just the overall feeling was missing from todays major theme parks. He wanted to build a park where, when you walked through the front gates, you knew that you were in for something special. He decided to take a chance, and build such an amusement park. This amusement park would not have all the flash of big parks. It would be a place were you could come, and laugh your troubles away.
Construction started in Year 1 with the building of the Dreamland tower. A throw back of the massive towers that once occupied two of the old Coney Island parks. The park would feature three rollercoasters. Two wooden, the Comet, and The Fireball, and the steel Wild Spinning Mouse. These would be the center peices for the other attractions that would later fill the park. Construction was finished at the end of year 3, and the gates to Brookfield Amusement park were opened for the first time. Large crowds flooded the park for its openeing weekend, and Mr Stephens walked through his new park with shear enjoyment. Watching the familes with smiles on their faces made him grin even wider. he ran promotions from the TV add that can be seen above this post, to newspaper ads.
Year 4 ended on a high note with great attendence, and the decision to add a new section to the park.
The next several years saw a steady attendence. By the beginning of year 7, construction was finished on the new section, and in May Playland was opened to the public. The section offered a diversion from the thrill rides of the rest of the park. From Adventure Golf, where, with a advance ticket, a family could enjoy a nice round of minature golf. The Brookfield Speedway where freinds could race against each other on this Go-cart track. On its opening day, Mr. Stephens, along with other guests, was the first person to take the go-carts for a spin. Other attractions included a Motion Simulator ride, a house of Mirrors, a bungy bounce, as well as an assortment of food, and drinks.
But the cost of building Playland did not come cheat. At a cost of around 27,000.00, along with normal running cost of the park, but brookfield in the red by the end of year 7.

The park was going to grow, and Stephens knew this. Losing money the last two years did not distract him from wanting to build his park into the ultimate family park. His passion for amusement parks was driving him to compete with the larger chains. His loyalty to his employees was well known. His heart for his park was as big as it could get. The customer would always come first. Being a single man with no family, the family he did have was the park, and its guests.
Though he knew that he would not be able to install any major ride for next couple of years, there would be an addition to Brookfield Park. Keeping the customers happy was the number one prioity of Mr. Stephens. He knew that they wanted something new every several years. He wanted to please everyone all the time, and that sometimes can lead to trouble.
