So basically if you were asked to do three improvements(not ride additions) to the park, what would the be?
Mine are(with reasons):
1. I would reinstate cutom uniforms. Custom uniforms would bring the charm of the park beyond what one could imagine. Custom Uniforms are most needed in my opinion at Star Gate, Batman, and Superman.
2. I would redo the Spiels at many attractions to match the theme. For example, The Raging Bull picture spiel, and the Batman the Ride spiel. Along with the new Spiels on popular attractions I would add the option of manual spiels for crowded days. For all season long I would change the manual Spiel on Stargate to something like: "Welcome to the launch area, the captain ask that you move all the way across filling in all aviable seats in the pods. The captain ask that you do not eat or drink during the mission, for he does not want anyone to be incappiable of fighting for the protection of earth...If the captain notices you are eatting or drinking he will dissable your pod. Please cross your ankles and raise your arms for your mission is about to start."
3. Finally, I would redo the marketing in the park, mostly the T-Shirt sale. Has anyone ever noticed at other parks how everyone is wearing shirts from that park, something that was uncommon untill 2004, but there is still room for improvement. The park should sell nice looking custom (as in only at Great America) shirts for Raging Bull, Viper, Raging Cajun, Star Gate, etc.. When is the last time you have seen nice looking shirts for theese rides, some of their most ridden coasters don't even have shirts! In park spending is one of the most important aspects of making money at an Amusment Park. Yes I know the marketing in the parks was alot better this year then in past year, bu there is still so much room for improvement.
I would like to add some more Looney Tunes Meeting areas. Like use the old Mariachi Stage, have some guys in the Hometown Gazebo, Maybe under the bridges. I like your t-shirt and uniform ideas above ^. I would also put some tunes outside the park, in that stage around the flags (Where the pumpkin is at FF). So in the morning they could do a short "Choreographed Characters Meet n' Greet"

Why would you add another entrance? So the park becomes even more confusing? There isnt a parking lot back there! Youre saying to me that someone would walk all the way AROUND the park from the front just to get in that back entrance? Think your ideas out first bud.

I'm a big fan of the Looney Tunes. I can't resist the little pronunciation-impeded Elmer to chase Bugs' tracks, nor the coyote stinker to capture the crafty Road Runner. I would say to keep the Looney Tunes meeting areas in the 'National Park' and Yukon Territory and have them travel the park randomly. But I would like the Mariachis to return to the stage in the Mission. I wasn't a big fan of their music but when they performed a long time ago I couldn't resist noticing the music contact the theming. Cowboys and Indians can also put the finishing touches to Southwest.
I would also think they should do away with the stupid 'We Like To Party' song. (Don't get rid of Mr. Six.) The parade was cheapened by the song. So was Southwest, as well as the well-themed areas.
R.I.P. Splashwater Falls and Space Shuttle America. Deja Vu, enjoy Idaho.
Hear ye, hear ye: "After 45 years, Six Flags has stopped smoking."
I think it would be awesome to make ragin bull a vertical drop coaster by extending the lift, it would give it more national attention(taller drop and vertical) and more attendance, only if they could keep the restraints the same.

Nah, don't mess with perfection.... just build a new coaster(400ft tall floorless, lol), but that's off-topic here.
I think they should really add some fan/misters to the lines, add some shading to RC line. and change the current sun shade things they have in lines to something that blocks the rain too.
there are some air dryers that do a pretty good job of drying your hands. fans and shades would be nice, but I don't think the misters would work too well too often.
I don't have a detonator; its on a timer.
A countdown timer?
No, a count-up timer. It goes from one to explode.
I'm not sure if this has been mentioned yet, because I have not read all the posts in this topic, but I would add a path from Hometown Square that cuts across into Yankee Harbor or somewhere over there. I just wish there were a path that you could cut across, because I don't like the whole circle thing!
The funny thing is how that was how it was originally designed. It's supposed to be a loop. I would add a path from Carousel Plaza (behind Pictorium) to SWT. It might open up that area of the park if the path(along with a ride or two) was added.
But yeah, I agree that a path in the middle of the park would be great. Especially when DejaVu starts to test and I need to get my butt over there first.
I don't know, I think it's rather nice to not have paths criss-crossing all over our park. You would be surprised how much more confusing adding just one extra path would make it (not to mention the detriment to the themed areas. SFStL has more paths between areas, and what ends up happening is no differentiation between the areas.
For my part, I would love to see them focus on more Disney- and Universal-esque theming. You can't keep growing attendance indefinitely on new attractions alone. At some point, they are going to have to overhaul the rest of the park to have awesome theming like SWT if they really want a much larger market share for families.

RIGHT! I've got the worst luck. Deja Vu always begins to test when I'm around Iron Wolf or Batman. It's a challenge to run that far if i want too.

I don't think I could agree w/ you two more! That always happens to me too! Then I run all the way over there, and it doesn't open for awhile, or it has already been open for awhile and there is a huge line!
^Yep, for me it always starts testing when I'm halfway throught the 90min line for Superman. By the time I run over to Deja Vu, either the line is full, or it's broken down.
But as for improvements, I like the idea of the path between Yankee and Hometown. I never realize how pooped out I get walking around and around that park all day long until I get into the car and sit down. I like PKI's layout. You can get anywhere from everywhere, and it is in no way confusing.
Other than that, a little paint here and there, some major TLC for Iron Wolf, hire someone to make more comfortable restraints for the Demon, and retracking/reprofiling for American Eagle.
Now for thooses of you who think manual spiels will hurt capacity I want you to think about this...The rides that should implement this are popular attractions. For example Raging Bull, This ride is rarely under staffed and most of the time there is someone is in the lead station, why not give them one extra duty on crowded days using the microphone to do manual spiels. One possible manual spiel that would allow for guest interaction is, Welcome back Raging Bull riders how was your adventure!.....When the train comes to a complete stop push down then pull up on your lap bar thanks for Raging Bull and enjoy the rest of your day here at Six Flags Great America, The Great American Theme Park! By incporating more guest interaction, you are raising guest satisfaction, guest like to be involved, not to be pushed around like cattle.
