Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

Does anyone know if the water in Hurricane Harbor will be heated or not? Do other recent hurricane harbors have heated water?

Most parts of the Water Park will be heated. (And not by the Sun)

I have never been to a water park that does not have heated water in the pools.

The big question about water is will it be dumped chlorine, or the salt water treatment.

Read this it will explain salt water pools.
Personally I like salt water pools better becuase the water is less dense and easier to swim through.

OK. How can a salt water pool be less dense that a regular pool? We were taught in 3rd Grade Science class that salt water is more dense, because of the SALT.
And yes the water will be heated.

Yeah, salt water is much more dense than regular water because of the SALT.
But luckily for us, the alternative would include CHLORINE.
IDK which one is more dense though, looks like chlorine.

Salt water is more dense and it is easier to float on. This is because your body (which is always less dense than water) becomes even less dense than the salt water around it.
And I dont think there is too big of a difference (at least noticable by humans) in the ease/difficulty of swimming through it.

You can tell in indoor pools.

OK fine. The water may seem different in an indoor pool rather than an outdoor.
But salt water is still more dense than fresh water.

But I was comparing regular clorinated water to salt water chlorine generating water.

I HIGHLY doubt there is a difference other than the fact that you float better.

Even if it is easier to swim in, nobody is going to be competing at hh.

salt water pools are a good money investment for Six Flags. As I may be moving to Arizona in a couple months I was checking out pool pricing. Salt water pools cost less to maintain compared to Chlorine pools. If theres a noticable savings in just a backyard pool/Jaccuzie I can Image a water park.

SO? That still does not explain your comment that salt water is less dense than regular chlorinated water.
Salt water is more dense.
