SFGAm - Closing Day, 04

Let us know how your day at the park was.
Postby DejaVuGurl1203 on October 31st, 2004, 11:43 pm
My dad and I got there at about 10:35 and I met up with DejaVu The Ride, LAFFfan4lyfe, and loveatfirstfright03 by Demon. We took a ride on Demon, two train wait for 6:1. Great ride... Next was Whizzer. About a two train wait. Fun ride... Once we reached the brakes we saw VU testing so we ran right over there once we got off. We were the first ones in line.

They said it probably wasn't going to open until noon. It was about 11:15, but we waited it out. Saw plenty of people from the boards while waiting in line. Got first dispatch in row 1A. Awesome, beyond awesome ride. Then we took a front row ride on AER, about a 7 minute wait. Also took a front row ride on AEB, walk on. The trims before the final helix almost completely stopped us, it was weird.

Then we went on Revolution. 5-10 minute wait. Then we rode IW, which I was surprised to see actually had a line. 20 minute wait for front row. Awesome ride... Then we went into Necropolis. Fun.

Next was V2. Three switchbacks were open. About a 30 minute wait for an awesome ride in back row. Then we had some lunch at Angelo's. Next we got in line for BTR. The first set of switchbacks were being used. 30 minute wait for front row. Great, great ride.

Then we went to Cajun since it had a pretty short line. 20 minute wait. It was an awesome ride. We were stopped on the brakes that were right next to the station, kind of ruined the ride but oh well. We quickly got on King Chaos, 5 minute wait. Awesome ride.

Then we ran over to see the 4:30 LAFF show. It was about 4:05 when we got in line. I didn't really want to see any shows since it was closing day, but I guess I didn't mind. It was a pretty good show though. I liked it.

The girls wanted to see LAFF again at 6, so they got in line and me and Jeff were on our own for the rest of the night since we didn't want to waste the rest of closing day watching shows. We waited about 20 minutes for a night ride in row 1:3 on Viper. MAJOR AIRTIME! Best ride on Viper ever. :D

Then we went on Bull, about a 30 minute wait for front row. Awesome night ride. We were approaching my dad as a security guard walked up to him and started talking to him. I started to get worried, but right away I knew exactly what it was about. Apparently people were suspicious about him because he had all this camera stuff and was taking pictures. They thought he might've been some pedophile taking pictures of little girls or something. Geez. This happened at a carnival 2 years ago.

Hellevator was next. About a 10 minute wait. Then we headed over to IW, 1 train wait for back row. It was an awesome ride with all of the fog.

Spacely's was next. Walk-on of course. Fun ride. Then we went into Necropolis. It's pretty creepy at night. Next we went to BTR, it was a walk-on but we waited a few trains for front row. Best ride on BTR ever... It was running great.

Then we went on SUF. 15 minute wait for back row. It was a great ride. It was now 15 minutes to closing. We ran to Vu to end the season. Waited about 40 minutes for back row, 2nd to last train of the season. It was truly awesome.

Today was a really great day. Lines were not bad at all, I expected huge crowds. Got on every coaster at least once. Man, this is going to be such a long off-season.

Geez, i should have gone today. Yesterday was really crowded. I waited 2 hours for V2 and 1 1/2 for BTR. We arrived at 3 and that was all we really had time for/had the patience to wait in line for.

Great trip report!! I had the same thing happen to me on Ragin Cajun where the brakes kicked in too early! I hated that we all slammed to a halt!

Yeah the show was awesome. Not something I would go see each FF visit, but it's def. worth watching it once in a while. It was nice meeting you too. I had an awesome time.

I met a lot of people yesterday as well. I met DejaVu The Ride, Dejavugurl, whom I believe is LAFFFAn4lyfe and her friend. Also saw Brad, Nolan, Dave, Mike, and a few others.

I was wearing a billabong sweatshirt and shorts. (Yeah, I'm an idiot and really payed for it the entire day) I think I'm going to save my TR for the middle of the offseason when your all looking for something to read.
