Saturday Nightmare

Let us know how your day at the park was.

First Trip Report, be nice.

On Saturday, October 30th, my family and I went to Six Flags Great America. This was our first (and last) Fright Fest, and we were some what excited.
In line for parking, I noticed Superman slightly out of the station, not working. It was like that for the whole day. Probably the huge amounts of wind...
We arived at the park around ten a.m. They didn't have a seperate gate to let season pass users get in like the last time we went this year, so we had to wait in line.
Once inside, we saw the first of a few "costume" people. I thought it was pretty cool. I especially liked the dude with sunglasses, but no head.
After growing up with Great America, I knew what I wanted to do first. This plan, however, was conterdicted by my parents. We were going to, in the morning, just walk around and ride whatever rides have short lines. Our first ride was the good old Whizzer, my sister's favortite. There was a five minute wait. I really thought the fallen leaves from the trees gave the ride a faster fealing.
After my ride, I was hoping that the line we had experenced would be simular through out the park, but boy was I wrong.
We the checked out the privew for the waterpark. It really didn't show anything new, disapointingly.
After that, we ventured into the Southwest Scare-atory. We saw the Bull line was huge, wasn't in the mood ofr Viper. Terror Twister looked intrgueing, rode that. Loved it. Great.
After exiting Terror Twister, we hit Ricochette, or the cow ride. Family favorite, I get kind of sick on it...
We left the cow ride (not throught the arcade, I hate rides that exit through stores, FF changes that) and saw the cool zone wasn't working. What a surprise, it was windy and cold!
We continue to walk past rediculously long lines and closed rides. (including Deja Vu) Finally hit Whirligig. Good ride.
Monster Mash was next, but it experience difficulites right before we got on. Family likes the ride, but we never did ride it.
After passing long lines and a closed Ragin' Cajun, we head out to the car to eat lunch, experiecing strong winds that nearlty blow us over.
We renter the croweded park and ride Rule le Morgue. Nothing is more fun than hurting your little sister without getting in trouble.
After a long walk, we rode the train. Show was corny, and I got hit by that spider that spits out water. I did manage to see an over an hour wait for Demon. CRAZY!
The second part of the train was better, but it was wierd when it started to talk about the SWT when being on the other side of the park.
After another long walk, we watched the Hyponsis show. I didn't get hypnotised, but I was glad, because the show was halarious. She made this fat lady get up and act like she was Brittney Spears!
Nicropolis was nexy. I was very disapointed. Didn't do the Mousleum of Terror, too pricey.
After rides on TP and HTFM, we left and went to Gurnee Mills for the first time. That place is huge!

To Sum it up:

There was horrible weather and everything had long lines. (I.E. Batman using its Mardi Gras/Orleans Place Enterance.)
Ugh.
