10/24: A D Vu day

Let us know how your day at the park was.

Yes, this a little late, but since I noticed that no one has written for Sunday, I might as well write one. Of course, we get there late at 11:00, but what are you going to do. So, my plan at the start of day was to get on as many as D Vu rides with the line not being totally full.

So, I'm in line and it brakes. The ride gets stuck on the first tower. Man, I would love to be up there. Well, it figures that everyone left the line, and I was close to be the first person on the ride when it opened. It was about 50 minutes, but with no line. So, I had three rides until two o'clock, and it was time for lunch.

Next, it was some of the flats when I came back with Hometown Fun Machine, and 2 Triple Plays. After this it was 2 Fiddler's Flings, an IW, and the swings. It was nice and crowded by then.

Well, it was closing time and you know the last ride of the year had to be no other than D Vu. So, for waiting almost 1:40 for one ride, you know that I was going on it twice. So, it was 5 D Vu's for day. Of course, SFGAm now has a new trick to limit the number of people going on D Vu.

What they were doing was letting people in the station, and then close it off for awhile. Now, what this does is actually make a smaller line (in actuality), then if they didn't do it. People see that the line is out on the midway, and they avoid it because something is less crowded late.

The skeleton by Demon was actually beating unlike last week. However, he was still pretty silent (sound). I also went on the train (Daphne, Daphne) which was pretty crowded. People like to make fun of that guy that talks in the station.

Really I've been on it 6 times this season and have yet to see a grouper when I go. The station is always crazy when I go.

I also went to Deja Vu at the end of the night Sunday. There was no grouper, the station was every bit as chaotic as usual.

A grouper during Fright Fest. The must have had the staff available. They kept the line full for Saturday so they must have heard complaints or something for people waiting too long.

I think you guys misundestood what I said. They didn't have a "grouper" during the morning or at night. For at least the last hour of operation, they had a worker come and lock the turnstyle, and then go back to his station. He would then wait until the station was almost completely empty, and open it.

It was annoying because I and the rest of the people weren't moving for 20 minutes maybe. Again, I believe the purpose of this was so less people would be in line at closing time.

That's clever. I also went on Sunday, but I only got 3 D Vu rides. I got first dispatch, back in line after 25 minutes, and after it broke. The line was too long otherwise.

Yeah, I guess we misundertood you Ilovthevu. I've never seen that done, yet it is clever and a good thing to know. But wouldn't people be a little irritated to the fact that the ride is still running, yet the line isn't moving?
