Mardi Gras & Revolution

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

Which of the 5 new rides did you like best? Which was your least favorite?

Ragin' Cajun is definitely my favorite. Revolution and King Chaos are very close behind. I can never get enough of those rides. They are extremely fun and exciting. Revy seems to get more and more intense each time I ride it, and I cannot help but smile while riding these rides.

Jester's Wild Ride is a neat little ride. It's fun, but not something I would go on every visit. Big Easy Balloons is my least favorite. I like it, but it's just not thrilling. Perfect ride for families though.

I am very satisfied with each of the new rides SFGAm received this season. The Mardi Gras section was a neat idea, and Revolution is a really nice ride. I love the colors and look of the ride. :)

I was very satisfied with the additions to GA this year (except Ragin' Cajun) but this is the order in which I rate them:

Best- King Chaos
2. Revolution
3. Big Easy
4. Jester's Wild Ride
Worst- Ragin' Cajun

Some people ususally just don't care for rides. But you despise it? As in want it destroyed?

I didn't say I despise it, I just don't like it much at all. Little kids may like it, but a non-thrilling rough ride that looks portable at it's base doesn't exactly cut it for me. I'd rather have another food court.

I haven't rode the wild jester ride or the big easy balloons because they don't look like they'd be for older people, and they don't look thrilling. My favorite is King Chaos. I think Rajun Cajun is my least favorite, just because it is so jerky, and a scraped my arm on it during the summer. Revolution is ok, but don't ride it if you have a really weak stomach.

Well, the only new ones that I've ridden so far are Revolution, and Jester's Wild Ride.
I loved Revy, easily knocking The Orbit out of my favorite flat spot.
Jester's Wild Ride is a lot more fun than it looks like it is going to be, and I actually thought it was a pretty fun ride! :)
Finally Coaster Season!!

King Chaos is now my favorite flat ride in the park. I really like the ride when it is running a good program. And the line for it is rarely long, usually I can get on it within 1 or 2 cycles. I find myself not being able to walk past it without riding it.

Revolution is a alright ride but I hate how the ride ends just as it gets good. Overall though a great addition to the park.

Ragin Cajun can give great rides to very dull rides all depending on the trims/ how the weight is in the car. The ride was far better to me before they started using the trims. But it's still a very good ride. Far better then I expected it to be. If only it had better capacity I could ride it more.

Big Easy Balloons Ive only rode 3 or 4 times...the first time I rode it the balloons were dropping water on people which was hillarious. They seemed to have fixed that problem, it make's a very nice family ride and to me feels just like whirligig.

Jester's Wild Ride...is a kids ride plain and simple. I find the ride boring to watch.

Overall Mardi Gras and Revolution turned out to be a great addition which I really enjoy. Mardi Gras really revived the area of the park that needed it most. The themeing and all the rides look great, and the different shows at the Mardi Gras stage have been pretty good this year. Giving me something to watch when the park is crowded.

I'm exactly the same way. It really surprises me how the line isn't long even on pretty crowded days. The only time I ever saw the queue full was back on a very packed day in June. I love how the line is always so short.

I also hate how Revolution ends just as it gets really intense. It's awesome but I wish the 2nd half of the ride was longer.

On the 23rd the King Chaos line was filled up and about 25ft. past the entrance. It took about 5 cycles to get on.
