hello all. one of the "out of line" trolls here. figured since my brothers were all joinin up, i may as well jump on the bandwagon, and toss out a few things of my own, get em off my chest.
first off, big hug to beef for sayin what all of us in costume wish we could say when out on the street. wish the rest of the world could read this forum, and maybe wise up a bit, and not be such babies about being harassed, especially when they are the ones who start it. we dont go out every day and start layin into people (hardcore that is) for no reason. as stated in a previous comment by chitown i believe, trolls arent meant to be nice, friendly, happy, picture taking creatures. look up a troll in any book, and youll see they are mean, nasty, crube, rude creatures. sorry for doin my part so well. so yeah, we do make fun of people, and when the occasional "gotta prove how macho to impress my chick" guy comes along and starts with us verbally or phisically, the real show begins. im sorry, i take nothing from anyone in real life, why should i when in costume. i dont get paid nearly enuff to take the phisical or mental abuse put upon us by ignorant, and yeah i sed it to a patron, prepubescent manchildren every second of every day we are out on the street. i would love to give everyone of you whiners my gear for 2 hours, and see how well u take it. u wouldnt. ud be doin the same in 30 minutes. this will be my 7th year as a troll, 5 years prior was jason at MoT, and another thing (dunno how to describe it) another year, and one thing ive noticed is the crowds get worse and worse, ballsier and ballsier every year. one of our characters was even maced a few years back. its like they come out just to start with the actors, whether they are troll, clown necro or whatever. is it because they know retaliation will not be made? do these people act the same out in the real world? i dont think so, because if so, the world would be full of well behaved individuals, afraid to say anything to anyone for fear of gettin dropped like a bad habit. so yeah, i may step over the line occasionally, but only for individuals who deserve it. yes i will laugh at the bald guy, the lady with the mustache, the guy with the girlfriend who needs a leash, because thats what i do, that is my job. its how we spend our daylight hours, playin games, crackin jokes. honestly, how scary can one be during broad daylight? jason isnt as effective during the day, and hes got a chainsaw. i guess what im tryin to say here is this, bottom line, IF YOU CANT TAKE IT, DONT DISH IT OUT. and if you are offended, keep in mind, you started it, and dont be mad and complain when you were just made a fool of in front of all your friends and potential girlfriend.
as far as the troll who told the guest to "shut the f**k up, im not talking to you" after he was spit upon (by the way, thats a good way to get hepatitis, take it from someone trained in bloodbourne pathogens), and no, honestly i am not the one who sed it, tho i was right there holdin troll back from rippin guests head off, the actual phrase was "shut up, im not talkin to you" no f**k was ever said, as angry as the troll was.
I also have to agree with beef on the keep yer kids at home if you dont want them scared. i am soooooo sick of parents yelling at me for scaring their poor little 5 year old. two words FRIGHT and FEST. why is it so hard for these people to get the title, and know whats gonna be happening. its like going to seaworld, sitting in the front row by the show tank, and yelling at shamu for splashing water all over their kid when he lept out of the water. gimme a break and get a clue. take em to lambs farm or something, maybe a nice stroll down the aisle at their local supermarket would be more apropriate for the poor young child.
as for the idiots who keep walkin up to us, askin if those are real, smashing hand down onto our obviously metal spikes, sayin owww, and walkin away bleeding, KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK. that never gets old.
as for all of you who think we arent scary anymore.......say something. not to us. to park. they are there not just for complaints, they are also there for suggestions. things happen by popular demand. the more suggestions and requests made, the more likely something is meant to come to be. for any of you who have been around since the beginning, and remember the old skewl trolls, you will remember this.....SACRIFICES.......and notice how over the course of the years, completely disappeared. well in the past few years, do to guest resquests, complaints whatever, have come back. just an example of what i am talking about. basically if you dont like whats goin on, say something. we are there to entertain, and if we have no idea what is wanted by the public, how can we make you happy? so open yer mouths. (and yes the sacrifices will be happening this weekend (starting 10/15) for those who know what we'z talkin bout.)
oh yeah. my favorite thing..pictures.. we are not required to take pictures, so dont get all wouded if we decide to walk away without taking one. half of our day is wasted by taking pictures, letting perfectly good scares walk right on by while mom and dad are fighting with their kid who is too scared to come close enough to us to get a good shot. we are out there to scare and entertain, not to be super models. yeah, there may be more pics of ruk out there than any other troll, but hes the friendly one, so keep on buggin him for pics. i honestly myself do not like my picture taken while in costume. i spent alot of time and money putting my gear together. all a picture does is gives a person a way to make the identical costume. my gear is all original, and i like to keep it that way. so sorry if you dont get one of me, but thats how it is, and has always been for me.
well, ive wasted enuff time. hope i made some good points, if not im sure ill hear about it on here later on when i check back. beef, preach on brutha man; ruk, keep doin wut you do, and the rest of you all, see you at the park. til then, keep hatin clowns, as we will do the same. have a good time (not at the actors expense) and be safe.

Sacrifices will start this weekend? Poor little piggie (that was always my favorite) wow this sounds really sick to the people that do not know what the sacrifices are  I know that I have said this before but even though I am not a charcter in Fright Fest (although I am thinking maybe next year  ) allot of us DO understand. The problem is that the vast majority of the people at the park do not understand and they give all of us bad reps! Darn them idiots!

Kadunkadunk is right on the money about a lot of stuff, but he's especially on top of the pictures thing. We really do try to be nice, but we are human.

Here's a piece of advice: If you're looking to get photos of the trolls, come early. We're a lot more likely to be accomodating if we haven't just spent 6 hours getting the $#!+ beaten out of us. The nicer people have been to us, the nicer we're likely to be in return. And besides...if someone's taking a picture, we more or less have to stand still...And on Creature Crew, you learn pretty quickly that standing still makes you a sitting duck. A moving target is harder to hit, so we're always moving.

Not only that, but once you pose for one picture, suddenly there are 17 people standing there with cameras. And, while I try to be accomodating, it gets REALLY OLD to have to stand there for half an hour while people screw around with cameras they don't really know how to use. Our primary job is to frighten, and that has to come first.

You certainly increase your chances by asking us, though. I can't tell you how many times I'm just standing there, or walking, and someone says to their kid/spouse/buddy/whatever, "Go stand by that guy so I can take a picture!" I make it a point to walk away from people who just assume I'm a backdrop they can pose their kids in front of. I'm sorry, I don't want to sound like a snooty, elitist jerk, but I, like Kadunk, spent a lot of time and effort (and, to be frank, cash) assembling my costume. It's common courtesy to ask if I'll take a picture. The least I ask is that someone not talk about me like I'm not there. "Go stand over there!" I might as well be a mannequin.

Kadunkadunk wrote: as far as the troll who told the guest to "shut the f**k up, im not talking to you" after he was spit upon (by the way, thats a good way to get hepatitis, take it from someone trained in bloodbourne pathogens), and no, honestly i am not the one who sed it, tho i was right there holdin troll back from rippin guests head off, the actual phrase was "shut up, im not talkin to you" no f**k was ever said, as angry as the troll was.

And *I* was that troll. And Kadunk is right: I NEVER swore at the kid. In ten years, I have never, EVER used profanity with a park guest, as mad as some have made me. Reason being, I like my job. And if I used profanity in costume, I would EXPECT to be canned. I'd deserve it. It's a firing offense, as well as it should be. And boy howdy, the guy that hawked and spit on my costume ticked me off as badly as I've ever been ticked. You just can't imagine what an indignity it is to be spat upon until it happens to you. And in the case of this schmuck, I wasn't even doing anything. He just walked past me, and with no provocation, "schwwaak - PTUI!" right on my gear. Naturally, I took issue. Filth and Kadunkadunk saw what had happened, and Kadunk helped me stand in front of him while Filth flagged down our security lead.

Then, in the subsequent security scuffle, one of the spitter's mouthy punk buddies couldn't understand why the spitter was being detained and questioned by security. He simply saw nothing wrong with what his vacuum-brained pal had done. So he was voicing his displeasure in response to my telling the spitter that what he had done was unacceptable. When he opened his ignorant mouth, I wheeled around to him, and in the loudest voice I could muster, I told him to shut up, because I wasn't talking to him. I was angry. But as angry as I was, I never told anyone to "shut the f**k up". Not this year, or any year...Or I wouldn't still have a job. Count on it.

Again, I hope noe of this sounds snooty, or self-important. I just appreciate the opportunity (as I know all of us Creatures do) to let people know what life looks like from the other side of the mask in as honest a fashion as possible.

This just shows how ignorant people are. You guys put alot of effort into those costumes, and trust me, they are really nice. But it ticks me off to hear that someone would actually have the nerve to do that. Welcome to Crazy World.

My horoscope today says: "Avoid anyone who is trying to upset you. You must be careful what you say and how you react."

Dandy. Looks like it's gonna be a rough night. :P

Hey, at least the weather is gonna be chilly. The lower the temperature outside the costume, the lower the temperature INSIDE the costume. The cooler it is, the better the trolls' moods and energy levels generally are.

Looking forward to writing more next week in new trip reports...

You must come see us in Necro too...
Since it is going to rain and will be cold, I am sure the traffic through Necro will be light. That mean a lot of waving to the train people

Here's hoping for my pumkin face tonight!!!!

Ok so last night was awesome! Hardly any lines but was extremly freezing. I met Ruk who was very very nice! Very good to meet you. The trolls seemed to be in a very good mood and friendly last night if ya know what I mean. They looked a little like this :D Went into Necropolis and I was standing by you Big Mike but you were talking to someone who had an extremly adorable boy dressed like a clown so I didn't want to interrupt. I saw Necropolis GD but he was trying to scare the people on the train  And I also saw the zombie twins but you boys are very popular with the girls!! Everytime I go there you seem to be surrounded by girls  You guys must love your jobs!

That's too bad, I'm sorry, you can interupt anytime. Those are some personal friends of mine and they were jsut saying hi. They are here EVERY day of fright fest. Jeremy is the little clown boy, he looks good in that. A future evil clown at FF.

Yeah I have seen him there almost everytime I have been there for Fright Fest. On opening day I though he was there with a girl who usually works Mardi Gras? I think she did Fright Fest last year too. I was there yesterday also but when I went through Necropolis I didn't see you. I will defnitley come say hi to everyone on Saturday the 23rd because that might be my last trip of the season
