Friday Full For Fun Fright Fest 10/15

Let us know how your day at the park was.
Postby Danhockey04 on October 15th, 2004, 11:08 pm
Just got back from Fright Fest at Great America.
Crowds: Minimal (3 rows in the parking lot, no more)
Weather: Cold, Cloudy, Light Rain
Lines: Very little, if any
Ride Closures: All Water Rides, Condor, Deja Vu, American Eagle Blue, King Chaos? (i am not sure this ride stayed closed the whole day)

I arrived at the park, I was the first car there, yay, but anyways, I went to SUF first and 1st dispatch front row again, 100th ride on SUF. Right after I got off SUF, I went to Cajun and walked on, they were sending empty trains, Cajun was running really slow today. Then I went to V2, front row, only one on the ride, great fun.

I went over to BTR and got front row on that too, one of 6 people on the ride. Then I got to Iron Wolf, front row, at this point, I had realized that it was going to be empty. AER, front row was next, no wait for this. Then I went into SWT and walked on Hellavator.

When I got to Raging Bull, the line was at the shoots, in the station, but only a 2 train-op, which did not surprise me. I got last row with a 1 train wait, so it was dead. I went on Terror Twister, they added more songs to the playlist, but I still got Sandstorm.

Then I went back to Iron Wolf, rode that as a walk on again. Then I got around the park and realized that the park was starting to get lines forming. V2, was a half station wait, BTR was at the top of the stairs and RB was in the queue house. We went on Cajun again, which was still a walk on, after this, we went to Rue Le Morge, where we rerode it a few times and found Tom, Mike, and Dave on it.

Then it was about 6:50, and we went to eat in Firehouse Pizza. Then we went to Viper, and rode it, and went back to Terror Twister, which I did not get Sandstorm :x . Then I headed over to Demon to ride it as long as I could. I rode Demon until I got kicked off because the whole train was taken, I got on it for 43 rides straight. Then off to Whizzer, rode it once, and went back to Demon for another 21 rides.

Overall rides:
V2 - 1
SUF - 1
Cajun - 2
Viper - 1
BTR - 2
Iron Werewolf - 2
Rue Le Morge - 3
RB - 1
Hellavator - 1
Whizzer - 1
AER - 1
Demon - 64

Total: 80 rides

Danhockey.. I think I was standing next to you in line to get into the park. You said something about how you have been to the park 30 something times and I said yeah this is our 38 time this season. Then you were talking about how your friend Brad worked at the basketball game. I figured that you were talking about Papas but I didn't know that he started working there. We also were on the 1st dispatch for Superman but only back in row 4.

Well I went to the park yesterday too and it wasnt all that good because of the weather.

Me and my friends and cousin first went to Rue Le Morgue. That was the shortest ride line for the bumper cars I have ever been on.

Then we went on Superman. The line brought back memories of Shockwave since it was so empty. We went on it about like 30 minutes.

Then we went to Rajun Cajun and saw the clowns and I dont know what they are suppose to be...the guys that are in Orleans Place. That tall guy scared my friend so we all ran and the clown scared me because he had the knives. Rajun Cajun didnt seem all that good from when I rode it in July didnt they change it? I think I missed out on something here!

Next we went on Batman again a short line. We rode it front row under 15 minutes. I guess the weather scared everybody at Six Flags.

After that we decided to go on the Haunted House. I think the guys for the trail were more scary yesterday than last weekend. The twins got a hair cut like weird to. Last weekend a girl got kicked out for touching the twins butt. We went on the haunted house and it was all good. OMG we got stuck in that maze man like we were all crunched up in the corner. The guy in the house thought we were stupid because he was pointing out this way. So we went in a circle and got stuck again. Then we got stuck again but the part with the Texas Chain Saw and we got stuck in the corner till the other group came so we went with them.

After that we went on Eagle. Blue wasnt working and I rode forward I had fun. Probly because my friend was calling her other friend while we were on the ride to make her jealouse. lol

After that we went on the other haunted house which was not all that good. I think they should redo that haunted house if they want more people to go on it.

Then Ragin bull which really seemed short. Less than thirty minutes for front row with only the two cars working. It was raining so the drops felt really hard on that ride. Then me and friend and friends brother decided to go on Hellevator. It was a walk on. My other friends decided not to go. Then we went on Viper and called it a day. After that there was nobody out and thats why I said it wasnt that good. It was still an hour till the park closed but that because of the rain.
No matter how hard it is...Never EVER give up. The real failure is those who dont try.

The weather wasnt good, but it did keep the crowds down which was a good benefit.
The rides were very good, escpecially Viper after the rain stopped.
I wasnt imprssed at all by the halloween decorations this year, seemed less to me. And i also thought Necroplis wasnt as good, but i went during the light rain so that could have been the reason.
I didnt go to any haunted house as i wont give them money for what is free at most other theme parks for halloween.
