SFGAm 10/10 - Embarrassing Hellevator Experience

Let us know how your day at the park was.
Postby DejaVuGurl1203 on October 10th, 2004, 10:52 pm
Got to the park at about 10:10. Once we were about to park, I was watching Deja Vu, and saw it do something I didn't like. Once it reached the top of the 2nd tower, it started going back down slowly. I kind of thought that was a bad sign. Got into the park at 10:20 and headed straight to Vu. Waited maybe about 5-10 minutes til it opened, and another 5 minutes after it opened. Awesome ride in row 1B.

Hopped onto Demon after that. Walk-on for back row. Went on Bull twice after that, both with 20 minute waits for back row. Next was Terror Twister. I really like the theme of this ride during FF. First time ever on it. 7/10 Fun ride.

Hellevator, the highlight of the day. Line wasn't long at all, about a 2 minute wait. After it dropped, some girl was pointing and laughing at me. Turns out my shirt had lifted up a little too high. I was so embarrassed...

Then I got on Revolution with a 5 minute wait. I thought the lines would have gotten long by now but a lot of them were still really short. Then I went on AEB and AER. I felt a little sick to my stomach while riding for some reason.

Then I hopped onto IW with my fastlane pass. For some reason while riding this I felt a few inches taller. Next I went into Necropolis. Eh, seemed dull compared to last year. I had some lunch at Angelo's after that. Next was BTR, 20 minute wait for back row with fastlane.

Then I used fastlane on V2. Waited about 15 minutes for back row. Went over to SUF next. Broken down, I waited it out. 10 minutes later it opened up. The fastlane line was long so it took a while to get through. I waited for back row. Total wait was about 35 minutes. Awesome ride. I really like this ride in the front, it's smoother than the other rows and just more worth the wait.

Then I got a FF shirt from Flags and wore that for the rest of the day. I also got a Mr. Six bobblehead... I was surprised to see them cause I heard they stopped selling them. Went on Bull with my fastlane pass, about a 15 minute wait. Then I went on V2, waited 40 minutes for front row with fastlane. Beyond awesome ride.

I hadn't eaten dippin dots in so long... and I was in the mood for some, so I got some. After that I rode BTR twice with fastlane. then I hopped onto Jester's, and waited 5 minutes for a great ride on King Chaos. It seemed pretty forceful compared to the last times I went on it.

When it got dark, I rode Bull 4 times to end the night, 3 times in back and once in front. It was really awesome in front row.

Crowds were pretty large, some rides had full queue, some didn't. Each fastlane pass costs $15 now. It sucks.

I was excited to see the bobble heads, but frightened to see that the price was now $19.99 each.

Yeah that really dissapointed me as well! I was excited to see the bobbleheads but as fast as I picked it up I put it right back down. That really dissapoints me that because something was a super-fast seller that they doubled the price

Sometimes one train on S:UF will go down for about 30 minutes or so and they will tell the greeter to notify guests of significantly longer waits (They usually will say anywhere from 1.5-2.5 hours) but then when the second train goes on it can take awhile for the grouper to stop saying that. Last time I was at the park I was notified that the wait was almost two hours long. I looked at the line and decided to test his bluff, needless to say I was on in 20 minutes.
