Have you been to any of the other Cedar Fair Parks? Worlds of Fun and Knotts Berry Farm are great parks. WoF doesn't get the respect it deserves because of their number of coasters, but the park has great family rides, 4 good coasters, and the atmosphere is great.
It's a shame that they had to take out Orient Express. Last year it was down to one train and they didn't want to put more money into the ride. It was the best Arrow coaster I have ever been on. Check it out if you are in the area. Mamba is better the R.B. and the park has triple the flats Great America has.
Are we forgetting about Dorney Park people? Last time I checked they were apart of the CF chain and have talon, thunderhawk, and steel force. Plus next year they are getting a compact floorless. Not too shabby...
Last time I checked Thunderhawk sucked really bad and the park is a $hith0le . . . oh I just checked on Thursday, read my TR if you want. It's an ugly park. Steel Force is good but not a standout hyper. I liked Talon. The end. Up until my trip I would have said CF hands down, but now I really question that.

I wasn't sure when I typed that but isn't Thunderhawk the woodie that was built in the 20's? Its supposed to be a classic...
I broke this down into a few different categories. Its hard to choose one.
Family environment with theming- Disney
Family environment with thrills- Paramount
Thrills with good theming- Universal
Thrills- Six Flags
Food- Busch
General boring atmosphere- Cedar Fair (Sorry kids)
Disney is by far the theme park king. More of an immersive experience, but Universal does a good job with taking Disney quality theming and putting thrill rides in there. I think Disney is catching on to that, but slowly.
I was very impressed with Paramounts Kings Island and the great fusion of thrilling rides and a great family environment.
Busch had great food (and free beer) so they get the food vote.
Six Flags has by far the greatest selection of thrill rides, so they get that vote.
While Cedar Point (the only CF park I have been to) has some AWESOME rides, the general atmosphere of the park was boring to me. I need substance, thats where I even see Six Flags edging them out in the immersive experience.

What's DCA? I think that Terristial Encounter was a bust, and I hear they are putting Stich to replace it even though it looks like the same thing with Stich.
I really enjoyed Alien Encounter at the Magic Kingdom. It was popular for teens, but it was considered scary for young children and is being replaced by Stich. The style of the ride will remain the same, but it will not be as dark and scary with the Lucas alien gone.
^I went to WDW in 3rd grade with my family and a few others from my school. Needless to say, my 2 friends chickened out in the begining of the ride. I stuck it out and was so scared. My Dad still makes fun of me for it to this day.
Top 5 wood-5-Goliath 4-Ravine Flyer II 3-Phoenix 2-Voyage 1-El Toro Top 5 Steel- 5-Velocicoaster 4- Maverick 3- Fury 325 2-Steel Vengeance 1-X2 Coaster Count: 444
I do and I don't understand why they replaced Alien Encounter. WDW is trying to one up Universal. So far Mummy has been a greater success than Mission:Space. Disney wants thrill rides to get teens to come to their parks insted of Universal, but then they rip out Alien Encouter.
On the other hand I was happy to see Disney act before another Lucas ride becomes out-dated (Star Tours). Stich has been very popular and hopefully the ride will be good for people of all ages.
It was a great Disney ride. The story was well written, the theme was excellent, and it was unique. Thats what made the ride so scary. You didn't know what to expect because no one had ever experienced a ride like that before
Disney is starting to put more thrills in their parks because they are putting in expedition everest in animal kingdom, and Mission space in Epcot and they also built some good thrill rides at california adventure so disney is not so much a kiddie park chain anymore.
Six Flags: I've only been to two of their parks. Great America and Over Georgia are run pretty much the same(except for maybe capacity) Both are beautifully landscaped, and have fun rides. I can't really judge when I have yet to visit some of the 'lower tier' parks.
Paramount: Only been to Kings Island, and my all time favorite coaster is there. It too is a beautiful park, and very well run.
Busch: BGT is an absolutly awesome park for the entire family. It has the thrills, wildlife, and beautiful theming/landscaping. (I really enjoyed Montu by the way! )
I guess I can't pick a favorite, as I have yet to visit a park I didn't like.
Yes I was always impressed when I would go into SWO (Sea World Ohio). That park was really well run and I heard the landscaping was so much above the other Sea Worlds. It kills me that they shut her down and now only half of it is open. Even though they didn't have coasters, I was still really impressed with that park, granted I was 13 when it closed.
Six Flags cause i dont care about theming or any of that. Then Busch. Then Universal. Then Disney. Then Cedar Fair. And then Paramout. I've never been to a paramount park so i dont know.
Ive been to Universal Studios Hollywood and I didnt think it was all that great. The rides were okay and some were pretty good. Other than that theres just a buch of plain themeing.
