Iron Wolf Questions

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.
Postby mr. dejavu on September 23rd, 2004, 7:48 pm
I was wondering, I know Iron Wolf was B&M's first stand-up and their first coaster, but was it the first stand-up coaster ever? Also, not to critisize the ride (I love it :D ) but does anyone think it needs a new paint job?

It was not the first stand-up.

I believe there already was a subject about paint jobs...

Actually, he was right... since it was B&M's first coaster, it was obviously their first stand-up. :)

it was their first stand-up, but there were other stand-up coasters in the world. including some made by Intamin that B&M designed while in their company.
I don't have a detonator; its on a timer.
A countdown timer?
No, a count-up timer. It goes from one to explode.

Yes, they are very popular, and quite good over in Japan. Not sure what happens to make them so rough over here, maybe its the imperial/metric conversion... You know how NASA had problems with that...

Iron Wolf was not the first stand up but it was the first standup to have a corkscrew, the ride shows it too with the headbanging in my opinion

How old are you Mr.DejaVu? Any way, Iron Wolf does need a paint job and it is fun and ill hate to see it leave(if it ever does) because (to me) it is a classic.

It is getting a new paint job and the reason it is more popular than intamin stand ups is because of the bicycle seat.

you can search for the first standup on rcdb. I'm not trying to be mean, but do a bit of research yourself before asking here. the answer may be out there.

Iron Wolf is technically an Intamin. B&M Partnered with Intamin to make this.

When you say that do you mean a fresh coat of paint? Or a new color scheme?

Deja Vu is technically a Vekoma/Six Flags inc ride.

Changing it to grey would be cool. Even though brown is fine, they should make the supports black, the rails brown, and everything else grey. :D

If it should be re-painted, it should be completley chrome. Very shiny chrome.
