I will never ride Giant Drop (hate freefalls) so I was wondering if someone would tell me what it's like. I hear the queue line is great :D .
How much longer can I last until Opening Day! ARRRRGH!

Giant Drop gives you alittle more air time than Raging Bull, and about the same or a little more than eagle blue backwards in the back row.

The queue line is themed as a mine, and makes explosion noises every once in a while.

I would suggest to go on it once.

Even when I went on the local fair freefall, which was only 50ft, I felt sick.

The queue line is fun. At the beginning of the line there's that explosion thing that happens. It's cool but sometimes it gives me a heart attack. (loud) The rest of the line is okay. There's some other things to look at but the negative thing is that there's hidden zig-zags in the back.

Now the ride itself. I think that the scariest part of the ride is the holding at the top. Because of the different speeds of the cars you never know when you're going to drop. But the dropping part is fun. What I always try to do is see if I can scream as I'm dropping because usually I loose my stomach. The thing that stinks is that I'm always in one of the cars that faces the parking lot. A beautiful view indeed! (hence the sarcasm)

But do you like getting air time. I you do you'll be fine. Carnival freefalls dont give you any airtime, and i even got a little sick on it. Just do it.

What's super shot, and what's fantasy? I rode Drop Zone at Alpine Fest in Lake Zurich.

It goes up about 50 ft maybe, probly about 70. It pulls the train up by a cable and when it gets to the top it drops you. You dont even stop at the top, and you cant see the top, so you dont know when your going to drop. It reminds me of Demon Drop at Cedar Point. Anyways the whole thing is orange and has alot of lights. It holds 12 people per ride and says super shot on the train.

I rode one of those at St. John's Festival up here in Milwaukee. It wasn't bad because you couldn't see the top and it would drop you right away. It actually gave a bit of a rush.

I got stuck at the bottom for about 10 minutes because of our restraints. My friends got stuck at the top for about 25 minutes the same day.

Not to mention any names, but someone on this topic needs to lay off the shift key.
Carnie rides are scarier than any amusment park hands down. The odds of you dying on a carnie ride are way higher than going to a six flags or cedar point.
Giant drop is not as good as power tower or demon drop but, especially for someone who doesn't really like drops, its still fun. I don't ride it because its only 40 seconds long. 30 up and around 10 or so down (the brakes, without that it'd be alot less, but then it would end quite abruptly, and it'd be messy). Anyways, its short, its fun, and no matter how much you don't think you'll like it you should always try something once. But not drugs kids, because drugs are BAD.
What you don't understand you can make mean anything.

Your stomach doesn't drop on it. You go up to about the same height as Raging Bull, get to the top, wait, and then fall. The fall isn't fast, but it's over in a few seconds. I've only been on the Eagle side, so I'm not sure what the park side is like (in terms of view).

I have friends who hate drop rides and roller coasters, but we make them ride, they really say it wasn't bad at all. The drop isn't fast, and your stomach doesn't drop. When you get to the bottom, all you can say is "I'm glad I rode!"

It's a very weak ride that is only fun if you put your arms and legs out! It is a rush the first time and you will either love it or hate it. My friends don't like it, but I love it.
