^ That is the 700th reply to the topic!

Now SF announces when they will make an announcement? Give me a break, they should just tell the public what we already know.

I don't think so.

It was pretty obvious from the excerpt in the article that the park is adding a waterpark. Anyone who doesn't know for sure would assume that.

I don't think it was really announcing and announcment, I think it was just GAm's response to whoever wrote the article. it does give us something to look forward to, though.

tyler, what big hole are you talking about? the last I heard, the only hole was in the overflow lot, but I haven't kept up with construction all that much.
I don't have a detonator; its on a timer.
A countdown timer?
No, a count-up timer. It goes from one to explode.

When they announce the waterpark on Thursday, I would think that the Fright Fest info would also be announced.

They tore out more of the bus lot, the area in the back by American Eagle has been removed. I would have taken pictures, but I do not carry a camera.

Do any of you remember when they said they were going to build the waterpark in 1996. Read it on the link below.

It was in consideration, the plan for that area never went through.

Six Flags Great America has purchased 125 acres west of Interstate 94 on which it plans to build a $30 million water park in the next two years, sources said Wednesday.

Gurnee Mayor Richard Welton confirmed rumors Wednesday that the theme park recently took control of 125 vacant acres of land situated across Interstate 94.

Yeah they baught land, and sold it this year.

That's a very good question... currently, do Six Flags season passes allow admission to the Hurricane Harbors already built? That would be a good indication if ours will fit the pattern.

You can get 1 season pass for both for more $.

Also, it's ironic that we would get a waterpark the very next year after our sister park (PGA) got one. Coincidence? I think not.

Uhm, both realized it would be a good time.

What kind of Fright Fest Fright Fest Info do you think they announce. "We are boring, the crew is the same as last year except reduced. The Haunted houses are also the same. Have fun in "Fright Fest 14-It's repetitive"

Sorry, that was overly sarcastic.

No, they would announce what they did last year. The haunted houses, Necropolis, haunted rides, etc. Now I would almost guarantee that these things will be announced. They announced Fright Fest info last year on September 17.

I think that they should have gotten a waterpark at the land across the highway and not sold the land. But its already over with and theres nothing we can do about it so i'll stop complaining.

I'm am really hoping that they will have nice artwork for the plans of the new waterpark. It would make the whole announcement even better. Tomorrow!

I'm not sure, but others know.

Even if this waterpark is the same size as SfStl, I will still be happy. Hurricane Harbor there is just awesome and has great theming. Their wave pool is awesome and has a huge volcano or something behind it.
