On this third anniversary of the terrorist attacks on our country. We pause to reflect those who have been touched in so many ways by the horrific events of that awful September morning.

Trip Report:
Trip #30 September 11th, 2004
I arrived this morning around 9:45am already the parking lots where starting to fill and i expected a rough day. Needless to say, it wasnt as bad as i anticipated.
I started my day in Yankee Harbor. And i headed directly for V2, Now that I can fit on the ride, i am actually liking it more and more. The ride for the first hour was a walk on and i cashed in with 5 consecutive rides, Then headed to B:TR and back to V2 for 2 more rides.
I love front row on V2. But i did head to the back row for a spin on there as well. "Note for Woodland i might have seen you there, i was the guy saying "weak" during the course of the ride. Perhaps it was you if not nevermind."
following my 7th Ride on V2 of the day, i headed to Iron Wolf for my only ride of the day, great ride Im also starting to really like this ride as well.
Next it was off to American Eagle Red, which was a walk-on the ride still kicks ass this year has been a great yeah for AER.
Following AER It was off to DejaVu, which was testing while i was doing my V2 rides, so i head to DV and find the line had just opened for business. Lucky thing because i was on the 2nd train of the day. Its great to see DV finally running to acceptable levels.
Following DV it was over to SWT and to RB. Took my seat on RB which was an excellent ride all around.
Following Raging Bull. I meet up with Chi-town and we perceeded to do something thought id never do, which was... buy fastlane passes lol, we had buy 2 get one free coupons so it was pretty good deal i think.
From The fastlane area we headed to RB (non-fastlane) and the wait was just under 15 minutes. again excellent ride which is something that RB is known for
Following Raging Bull, it was over to Giant Drop. Not much to say here its GD.
Following GD we headed for American Eagle Red which again was a decent ride.
Following a 30 minute break we headed to V2 which we used our fastpasses to get on row 3.
Then it was off to B:TR which with the fast pass it was less then 20 minutes for row one.
One thing that me and Scott started during our wait for V2, was a game show we called: "Whose Not Paying Attention" the game is simple contestants who arent paying attention when V2 launches get Whiplash!
Following B:TR we headed to SUF to find that it was running one train. and was not using fastpass so we skipped that and headed to RB again.
After RB it was another 30 minute or so break then over to V2 and BTR.
Weather: 85 Degrees
Crowds: Large
FYI: Superman was running one train all day, King Chaos is one again doing a lame program.
Parking is a nightmare at the park, my suggestion get there early and pack a lunch with you so you dont leave the parking lot.
There also was an incident on V2 today, during the second cycle up the first spike, a girls sock fell off on to the station platform, which instantly EStopped the ride. The girl was crying because she made the ride stop and everything. Kinda interesting actually to see something as harmless as a sock stop the ride, but thats a good thing.
I guess that there are sensors that are there to stop the train if anything falls or comes across it.(That would be my best guess. Or it could have been the op who e-stopped it.)
For crowds being large it didnt seem the waits were all that bad.
Why are the parking lots so bad now???? They seemed ok last week, so what has happened since then.
I also hope crowds are not bad tomorrow, maybe they will stay home and watch football.
Don't feel like typing a whole trip report for today, so I'll just throw out some of the basics in here.
Superman may have been 1 train op early in the day, but around 4 I joined the line with a greeter telling me they were only using one train when they actually were using two.
King Choas had its flippy program back.
As said before the bus lot by American Eagle and Bull's station is now torn up too which creates a parking nightmare.
Cheerleading competitions bring crowds, but many many hot girls to "socialize" with.
Spending 6 dollars on the water blasters at Roaring Rapids is COMPLETLY worth the time and money.
Rajin Cajun actually opened with the park today.
Deja Vu did not, but did open around 11 while I got first departure on 8B because nobody in the crowd could figure out where it was.
Bull ran three trains which rocked.
There are many storage containers in the employee lot and the service road by SUF. You can also find condor's cars where Triple Play's car were while it was being re-furbed.
I would strongly suggest to everyone planning a trip before Fright Fest (or even during Fright Fest for that manner) to GET THERE EARLY. I got there at 945 and as Galvan said the lot was already quite full. Giant Gaping holes lose more parking spots than you'd think.

The concert was ok, but the fireworks were pretty good. We watched from hometown square and it looked pretty cool seeing them go off behind SkyTrek tower

That was you that finally figured it out, I thought no one was ever going to go to 8B, they had to say it at least 3 times that row 8B was empty. I was in row 1A first dispatch.
Universal Orlando Mechanical Engineer Marathon down, Goofy to go.
The firework show was amazing. They had some fireworks I didnt even seen before, which was so kickass. I love fireworks. Also their finale was the GREATEST out of all the firework shows I seen.
Well, the sock obviously did E-Stop the ride. The train was coming down the backspike for the final run up the front twist. When it entered the station, the girls sock flew off onto the main platform. Immediately, the train's brakes kicked in and the train was stopped on the platform near the front spike.
I finally retired the Sarah Palin signature because she is now 100% irrelevant.

There's a light curtain in the station, and if anything breaks it, it will e-stop the ride. If you look towards the ends of the station you can see them. I'm pretty sure it's just an infrared beam, one on each side of the train. That way if anyone, or anything runs out into the path of the train it'll stop the ride.
I've actually witnessed this happen a couple times. I'm guessing right before it stopped there was a loud, short siren/beep sound?

Wow this is pretty weird. Today at school, I overheard this girl talking how she went to the park last weekend. And she told the same story that HER sock fell off and it stopped the ride and everything. She didn't mention the crying part though, but I bet I can try to bring it up tomorrow. It's a small world afterall...

Yeah, there is usually a large beep tone that goes off. I have also seen it happen. The beep tone usually doesn't go off when there is a computer error or other breakdowns.
