Does the spider on the Eagle for Fright fest have a name?

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

My Boss insists that it has a name. Does anyone know if it does.

Also did someone climb up there and steal it a few years ago?

Yeah... It's name is "Tiny". And yes, in 1995 it was stolen by some teenagers. Their mother ended up making them take it back.

I would love to see them try to get a job or go to college. Everythings good except for that you stole a spider off of the american eagle rollercoaster in 1995.

How did they get up there? Isn't it gated off. Cause someone could climb up there when theres no line for it and jump on the back car, because they keep the lap bars open.

That would be a stupid idea to jump on the cars anyway. But yes his name is tiny or is it a she? A few years ago they started putting tiny's babys up there.

A quick story: Onetime I drove by the eagle and I saw people putting tiny up.

Another quick thing: If you look really close at tiny near it's head, you can see little red eyes.

One last quick thing: Tiny herself is 40 feet long and her babys are 10 feet long.

The kids stole tiny out of the shed it was kept in. It wasn't put up yet. that would be interesting though.

I could have sworn they had put it up. But I'm probably wrong. Anyways, I do remember it being really weird to pass by Great America around Halloween (say 10 before) and not see the spiders. (Or should I say spider? The babies came later.)

They stole it in september, it was roughly 2-3 weeks before they were going to put it up.

When did they give it back? Also, the teens each had to do 50 hours of community service.
