What coasters do you think should be painted?

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.
Postby sfgam on September 1st, 2004, 5:29 pm
I was reading on screamscape that next year they might paint some coasters. Even though this rumor is probably just made up, it got me thinking, what coasters should sfgam paint? (please dont say anything about tumbleweed)

I think Iron wolf should be painted, I don't know what colors, just not that rust red.

I think american eagle needs to be repainted again it is wearing off. I think it looked beautiful when it was first built.

I think that eventually batman needs to be painted back to what it was originally. That looked cool to me even though it was just a simple color plan it looks cool in RCT the original way.
I want the sfgam survivor to be held every July and August.

We'll probably see a fresh coat of paint on American Eagle. It's sort of been hinted, since the red rails have been painted about 4 feet out of the newly repainted station.

I would love to see the eagle repainted. But i would want the whole thing painted. Not just the lift of something.

Deja vu needs a washdown.

I think whizzer is deserving of a new coat, along with AE.

Hopefully American Eagle, Whizzer, and Iron Wolf. and even though they're not coasters, the two flumes really need it too.
Finally Coaster Season!!

American Eagle is the only ride that needs paint. Iron Wolf looks fine in my opinion. I don't know why everyone hates the color so much. They should also do something about Deja Vu's supports.

Yeah. Supposedly, they've already looked into it.

I think that all the rides need to be painted the way they were when they opened as the ride name they are called now. (I said that for demon). It would give sfgam a fresh new look even though it would cost alot of money for the paint.

I like Wolf's colors, but I think it needs a fresh coat, though not as badly as Whizzer or Eagle. even Eagle looks okay in spots as long as you don't compare it to the station. I wondered why they didn't pain the retracked section when they retracked it, maybe they were just waiting to do the whole thing in one shot.
I don't have a detonator; its on a timer.
A countdown timer?
No, a count-up timer. It goes from one to explode.

Deja Vu definetly needs a fresh coat. The last time I went it looked like it was peeling.

^It isn't peeling, it just needs a washdown. I'd explain further but I forgot the specifics.

AE is definatly the coaster that needs paint the worst. I think Whizzer just sort of blends in with it's surroundings and looks OK to me. I also agree that IW needs a fresh coat, it would make quite a difference.

I would be surprised if Iron Wolf didn't get painted for next season, AE doesn't really need it but could use it also.

A bit off topic, but I think Iron Wolf could really use some new B&M trains...not this Intimin crap...(that is who made our trains right?)

Painting, eh? Definitely the American Eagle. I almost wish that it was never painted, like Viper, because paint just fades over the years. Also Deja Vu, especially the supports. It looks simply AWFUL, like camouflage, the absolute worst paint job on any coaster anywhere. By the way, I love Batman's new colors- it looks better than ever!

When they built Vu it looked fine, then the primer started to show up for some reason or other (has nothing to do with grease from the train).
I'm kinda spectical about washing it down, while it would look nice, there may be a possibility of it going bad again :?.

If they were to paint a coaster I say Eagle should get it but really none of the coasters need to be painted.

There is one support on DV that has a fresh coat of paint. I would have to show you because im not sure if i can describe the exact location.

Iron Wolf needs a paint job, Deja Vu needs to be powered washed, and American Eagle needs to be repainted too.

They should paint the area of Eagle you see when you are riding, especially the lift. It's all peeling and slplintey (Don't know if that's a word.)
They should paint Iron Wolf Blue And Silver. I think that would be cool or Blue and Yellow. I agree with whoever said it...i think it needs new trains.
