An Off Topic forum?

For any questions, comments, problems or suggestions about anything on this website.

I came from SFN and they had a great off topic forum. Instead having a non coaster thread, just have a forum. Sometimes its fun not to talk about coasters. Just a suggestion, thanks.

I believe there have been posts about this before. But that's why we have a General Topic thread... to discuss anything.

But dont you realize how sad a off topic "thread" is? I mean instead of all these random posts and a soon 50 page thread, how about a forum devoted to it. I think thats all this place needs.

He said that it would be too hard to moderate, and that this is a coaster forum, not anything else. He also says that people would be overwhelmed by the amount of boards.

I personally think that an off-topic/general board would make a great addition to this site. I don't know about you or anybody else, but I would definitely come to this site a lot more often, and I think that's what Dave 'n Co. want; people to visit this site more often. I really don't think that the board would be any harder to moderate than General Coaster and SFGAm boards are. To be safe, he could just get another moderator, and if he wants, make it so he can only moderate that board.

Personally i hate the off topic forum, because no good conversations get started. People just are like oh the cubs one, to increase their post count. So i get why your asking that. But i used to go to http://www.sixflagsnews.com but now i dont because all it became was a bunch of idiots who didnt even care about coasters talking about happy birthday to my roommates girlfriend and oh we caught saddam. So if you wanna talk randomly try to make it coaster related or go to a new site. So if you wanna talk about catching saddam be like oh we caught saddam and i found out the great news at six flags on v2. Did you find out at six flags too? :D you get what i meen.

could the members forum be turned into a general topic forum? I mean, its hardly ever used and it doesn't say that its just for coaster talk. it seems logical to me...the members forum is where the members can hang out and talk about whatever they want.
I don't have a detonator; its on a timer.
A countdown timer?
No, a count-up timer. It goes from one to explode.

Try starting a topic in the members forum, you can't only moderators, admins, and super admins can.

Member's forum is where Dave puts early releases of SFGAm Video and other member exsclusive posts.

And as it has been said before, this is a Great America forum made for Great America discussion. We are lucky to have just the off topic thread at all.

Well I have got rid of the Member's Forum now since the Headline New's sort of does both site announcements and SFGAm news. And it has been replaced with a Off-topic forum. Enjoy.
