when we got on the boat it was so nice and once we got out of the slow no wake zone we zoomed out at about 35 mph and the waves were huge i kept poping out of my seat and floating up in the air and then slamming back down to the boat ouch!! but the air time was worth it then my freinds dad gunned the engine and this HUGE Wave came and we jumped it and i like almost feel out of the boat but i held on to the side and me and my freind were laughing because i almost fell out lol it was awsome. after 15 minuetes of wave jumping we got to North beach were we put the anchor down and camped out. even though the water it was cool and the water was about 50 degrees i wanted to go for a swim so i got my lifejacket on and jumped in, it was so freaking cold but after like 2 minuetes of swiming around i got used to the water and it felt so good on the muscelles it felt like a cold hot tob it was awsome. i stayed in the water for about an hour an i mostly just relaxed but once the jets and planes flew in i jumped right out and started to eat lunch. heres how i graded the planes and jets
Paratroopers- 8/10
Paratroopers are people who skydive out of the plane from anywhere well they happenend to jump out of the plane at about 2500 feet or so "imagine that high of a rollercoaster
Dam that would be awsome." after about 30 seconds they landed on the beach.
Apatche Helicopter- 9/10
this Helicopteer just looked so cool it had all the missles on and it flew right over us in the lake and it rescued the paratroopers and flew away.
F16 Tomcat-7/10
I liked this jet alot but it only did two flyby's but it was still an awsome jet a very loud jet i should add. it was so loud when it put its after burners on and did one of the largest vertical loops i have ever seen it went right over us and went up about i'd say about 5000 feet and then came right back down woohoo that was awsome.
Lima Lima- 6/10
these guys were in old planes doing flips in stuff and sprayng smoke out the end and they made hearts and did big big loops and a couple of the loops and stuff they were doing looked like rollercoasters one kind of looked like raptor at cedar point, they dropped down did a huge loop that came up and it looked like they did a cobra roll and then came back down. Overall these guys were good but got boring after they kept doing the same thing over and over again but they were so good at doing loops and stuff as a team.
Red Baron- 6/10
Seemed like a clone of Lima Lima but their planes were red and they did diferent stuff but they were still really cool.
Stealth Bomber 10/10
Its a bird, its a Ufo, its a Boomerang, no its a stealth bomber this plane is awsome it flew right over us and i didnt see it untill the last minuete and i wasent expecting it to come but it did and it flew around the city in style. even though it only made 2 passes it still was a amzing sight to see it fly right over us.
Russian Mig- 9/10 this plane was cool to and it stayed around for a while instead of only making 2 or 3 turns it went around and around and did loops high in the air and its afterburners were so freaking loud it was awsome.
Refuling Planes and Big Planes- 10/10
these planes didnt do any tricks except fly low to the ground but they were fricking huge one of them had 8 engines on them 8!!!! wow thats alot of engines regular airplanes only have like 2 or 4 but 8 thats alot.
then another tomcat jet came in and flew around for a while and that was cool but then it slowed down and the refualing plane refueled in mid air and that was pretty cool.
Blue Angels 11/10
The Highlight of the show was the Blue angles they were so cool they had a 30 minuete show full with loops head on flying, flying upside down and someone flying right under it and full of loud lound afterburners. it started with all 6 of the blue angels flying in formation right over our boat and since they were going so fast the sound didnt come untill 2 seconds after they passed us and it was FREAKING LOUD our boat was shaking and i couldnt even hear myself saying WOW THAT IS AWSOME. then they flew around down town chicago and they did all of their tricks like flying upside down about 50 feet above the water puting their after burners on, flying head on at each other then missing each other by like inches and then they did like so many barrel rolls i was getting dizzy it was crazy and then they all flew up and did like a loop and it looked like a bannana being unpeeled it was awsome
, then they flew by at about 400 mph which made a very Loud Roar which was awsome. then they came back and did some tight banked turns and if you looked closely you could see the air coming off the wings and cockpit it was awsome. then they came back and all of them were going head on 3 on one side and 3 on the other side and when they got as close as they can get they all went every which way and they all missed each other by like 25 feet each that was so cool. then they came back for one final turn and they all turned on their afterburners and went about 5000 feet up and did a huge huge loop and then came back down straight down and made one more pass then they left and everyone was cheering and they diserved it cause they put on an awsome show.
When we left their was so much traffic cause all the boats were leaving and my freinds dad was zooming in an out of the boats and then This Huge Yacht passed in front of us and made A HUGE Wave and i said to my freinds dad GUN IT and he did and we flew so high and the airtime was amazing and then we landed in another wave and a wall of water came right at us and we got soaked it was awsome i was drenched in water i wanted to do that again but we passed all the boats and made our way back to the Hammond Indiana Marina dock where he parked his boat and we left.
Overall the day Was AMAZING all the planes were awsome and the airtime on the waves were cool too, this was a great way to end my great summer.
