Which Ride Would You Like To See In The Future?

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.
Postby Ilovthevu' on August 18th, 2004, 2:56 am
The question is what type of ride or rides would you like SFGAm to get in the future? This is NOT a rumor thread in which you can say that SFGAm is getting this for sure.

For me, I would like to see SFGAm get a Spin Out (made by KMG and Tivoli), Orbiter (Tivoli), Chaos (by Chance), or the Scooby-Doo (Shooting Ghosts with pretend gun) ride at SFStL.

Please post your comments, and please don't ruin this topic.

A nice dark ride. While I know a Spider-Man or Mummy Returns scale dark ride may be out of our reach, I would love to see some sort of dark ride at our park.

This is going to sound really corny, but I would like a ferris wheel! Disneyland California Adventure has a cool one. Some of the "cars" are stationary and just go around like normal and then other ones roll around and swing as the ferris wheel goes around (gravity makes them move and rock/swing). Another bumper car ride would be nice too since the one at SFGam is ALWAYS packed.

A 4D or floorless, or even a rocket coaster. And maybe a few flats... Like the Zipper, a ferris wheel, and Chaos.

What is chaos I have heard of it before but I don't know what it looks like?

I'd like to see sfgam get a mine coaster in yukon territory that's terrain and has very good scenery. Yukon territory really needs some more adult rides besides loggers run. And if they don't ut it in yukon territory I think they would make a new section of the park that has a minor theme to it. And they'd call it denver place.
I want the sfgam survivor to be held every July and August.

Chaos

It's very similiar to the Zipper, but many like the Zipper better.

They used to have one of those at cedar point. I hope that over time we get a 4d, floorless, and a rocket. And between a year when we would be allowed to get a coaster, like in 2002, i hope we get some cool flats and a new territory. Also a parking garage in place of the overflow lot.

I would like to see a floorless. I think they're great. Or a "Scooby Doo's Ghostblasters" I have a blast with those things. I rode it at "Fiesta Texas." It was cool.

I would like to see a floorless or a launched coaster (Premier preferably).
Something similar to Batman & Robin - Chiller would be great.
It's the most fun in the park when your laughing in the dark.

A test track like ride would do wonders for our park. I dont quite agree on Cali Screamin, but I'd like an LIM Coaster as creative as CS. :)

Coasterwise, I'd like a Floorless or a S&S Air Launcher.
Flat wise, I always thought we needed a Ferris Wheel. As for oldie rides, I would love a Round-Up. They are just plain good fun :) Otherwise, I think the Jump 2 looks interesting.

**I say, remove Revy and add A PKI Delirium clone! :P
Finally Coaster Season!!

I'd like to see:
Shockwave back
A Zipper, those rides are sweet!
SkyWhirl
Power Dive
A Super Looper
A TTD clone
B&M floorless
And maybe some indoor coaster.

First please give up on Shockwave, it's never coming back. Also why don't we just let this season end, accept our waterpark next season, and then talk about new rides and what we want after that.

Edit: Plus why would we want a TTD clone?
Here are the reasons we won't get one:
1. Too tall for Great Americas ride height limit
2. Cedar Point has too much trouble with theirs so it's unreliable
3. Great America doesn't have enough space for a ride like that.

Also, An indoor coaster would be impossible because theres not enough space. Remember when you pick out the ride you'd like to see there that Great America has very limited space. But keep putting your ideas down, some are very good.
2010 is going to be one to remember forever!!

You know, I really Love it when people bring Shockwave Up. It always creates an arguement. It's basically become unspeakable.

anyway Continue with whatever it was you were saying.

For rollercoasters, I would say a Mine Train, a Premier launch, or an indoor such as a Space Mountain type. The rollercoaster doesn't break any records, but it is a great fun speed ride with turns, and drops in the dark.

I think that we need a coaster with inversions, and what better way is there to get a coaster with inversions than to get a B&M floorless.
