Ok Rolling Thunder may be a twin track wooden roller coaster but it is hardly close to AE. The layouts: RT-figure 8 AE-Out and back. Plus you have AE's helix which totally separates it from Rolling Thunder. Atleast that is my take on things.

(B&M Floorless Wanter the pre-stage spiel on TTD is Arms Down, Head Back, and Hold on! ;)

Back on topic - I would really like to get to SFGAdv again next summer or so. I was really impressed with that park and I'm interested in this new coaster.

I noticed that the track is blue and green. Does that meen that every other peice of track will be blue and the next peice will be green, or is it going to be a racer. I really hope we get one or SFSTL gets one.

Also, wasnt SFSTL supposed to get a B & M, because i thought that track had arrived.

It's not going to be a racer it's going to be multi-colored, you can tell by the brakes.

Also, from the way it looks it's a launch tophat brakes, which wouldnt surprise me if it's very similar or a few feet taller than Dragster without all the trains and duel loading (make the track lenghth shorter).

I don't think it will be taller than Dragster. After all the problems that it's had I don't think they would want to build one until everything has been perfected. Look at Dragster - more than one color of track. It's going to be multi-colored.

If it does got aller than Dragster, I dont think it will break the record by more than 20ft. Intamin has done wonders with rocket coasters, but they don't always turn out so good.

Yeah it probly wont go higher, because six flags doesn't want to just have a coater go 420 feet, they want inversions. In other words, they want a fun and good ride, not a record breaker.

^ Not necessarily. Look at Magic Mountains Superman: The Escape. All it does is go up then down. Now it is having problems, and I usually see a lot of negative reviews about the ride. Anyone here ridden it?

Though, Six Flags did not make a mistake like that one again.
Finally Coaster Season!!

^ Negative reviews or not, think about the huge publicity SFMM gets out of STE every summer. Every discovery channel show, they seem to feel obligated to have a 10 minute segment on it.

Dude superman the escape never gets bad reviews. Other than it only goes 90 and only goes 300 feet up and it breaks alot. Thats probibly my favorite ride there, but i havent been on X. I dont care what anybody says that ride is so cool and so extremely fun. From anywhere in the park you can hear it take off like a fighter plane on an aircraft carrier. The noise draws me toward the ride more than cinderella castle draws me into magic kingdom. And the rides awesome too. The theming is way better than any other superman, the stations tight, and the trains kick @$$. Even though the ride doesnt go that high, the launch is pretty intense and its really long. You feel like a nascar driver getting forced into his seat on a straightaway. THEN the turn into the tower pulls some crazy gs and while your in the tower your seat and lap bar play ping pong with your torso. You just bounce up and down for 4 or 5 seconds before you straighten out again.

Even though the launch isnt nearly as fast as newer technology and its probibly less intense because of that, its still really fun because instead of going 0-100 in 2.5 seconds, your going down a track for 7 seconds (900 plus feet).

Hah, I've noticed that. Every channel that does something about roller coaster's either goes to SFMM or CP.

I say shame on you to Six Flags management. Right now, the tallest and fastest coaster in the world is also one of the least-reliable coasters in the world. Why would Six Flags Corp. go one step up and make one that's taller and faster? They are just getting themselves into more and more trouble.

Because Six Flags thinks they are better than everyone else, even thought they aren't.
