Can you say, Hurricane Harbor?

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

If they take out splashwater falls I'll cry.

It's the only reasonable way in the park to get soaked without a wait.

Maggie, are you talking about the area with the bungie/trampoline things? if so, that's wouldn't work. lost and found, first aid, and lost parents is located there. if the Go Karts were to go there, you'd have bleeding people and little kids dodging traffic just to get to a safe location.

I hate to add more speculation, but could the Go Karts be taken out along with SSA, then just fill SSA's spot with the Go Karts? this would work if the only thing going in that area is the water park entrance. if the area is to be used for the actual water park rides and such, then relocating the Go Karts like that wouldn't work. otherwise it seems to make at least a tiny bit of sense and fits Ron's requirements without taking out any extra attractions.
I don't have a detonator; its on a timer.
A countdown timer?
No, a count-up timer. It goes from one to explode.

As Ron/Wolf said, "The Go-carts will be moving into the park."

I take it that the statement would not refer to Stargate. Remember, Six Flags made a 2-year deal with Paramount.(And yes, I know things change.)

Also, I think there are a few options on what could be biting the dust.
1. One of the water rides(excluding Roaring Rapids)
2. One of the theaters.(Wilderness, Maybe Pictorium?)
3. DejaVu(Is my favorite poc finally going to to float off the tracks and go straight to....Ok I'll stop. I love you DejaVu,:D )

These are the only things that I can think of for now.( I have too much time on my hands.)

I want the sfgam survivor to be held every July and August.

I think..... well never mind. It will open in 2005, unless a Hurricane comes here and takes it to Kansas.

I could see them moving the go-karts to SWF's place or Wilderness theater.

Big question I have is what about Traffic Flow and Parking, will there be enough?

I sort of mis-read that. Go-carts move into the park, with an attraction leaving. I thought it meant that the Go-carts would replace an attraction.

Stargate could also be leaving then.

Stargate isn't leaving! They signed that deal with MGM! Do you people pay attention! It's like "They could be building the park across the street!" NO THEY COULDN'T! Okay, i'm sick and tired of stupid comments like that! and Tyster/sfgamer, do you read? Read the whole 6 pages! I know it may take a while but at least people won't yell at you for making dumb comments like that. I'm not trying to insult you (I'm trying really hard not to), I'm giving you some advice. And, are you 13 yet?

Anyway...Done ranting now.

and it just occured to me. They could take down the southwest amphitheatre. I've peaked in there a couple of times and there's almost no one there. That could be the "major attraction". then they could build the go-karts there.

NO.

Stargate cannot be removed until 2006 at the earliest. Six Flags signed a 3 year contract with MGM. They will just have to build around it. My guess is that the Pictorium is leaving. It's the only reasonable choice.

How the hell are the gunna build around Stargate and take out Pictorium? It just dosent make sense.

EDIT: Look at the theatere by SUF over there. I'm thinking it could be built over there, and extend into SUF's area a lil.

How do you know they signed it for three years? Is Pictorium a major attraction?

All I have to say is to wait two or three weeks like Ron/Wolf said, then we would all find out where it is going. I think that they are removing SWF because the go carts would be right next to the antique cars, and make it a raceway area. As for the removal of SSA, it isn't going to happen, there is a 3 year contract that ends at the end of the 2006 season with MGM. Anyways, the waterpark is said to be in the lot by Viper and RB, which means that the go-carts are in the way to get to the waterpark, it may only be a walkway that replaces it to lead to the waterpark.

That waterpark is way too small. I know hw you wanted it to go in that area, but thats only 2 or 3 acres where the gocarts and ssa are. Look at it in perportion to the rest of the park.

I think we all know know that the waterpark is going by bull, and we now have proof its 24 acres (which is bigger than the proposed waterpark across the highway) ,and its 35 million dollars opening in 2005. Now the only questions I really have are the name of the park, where its enterence is, parking problems, and the removed attraction and gocart locations.

I bet they will put the go carts by winners circle and get ridd of swf, but i would love to see it somehow put by the wilderness theatre. It looks cooler back there. Way more expensive to build though behind loggers run.

A while back, someone said something about retheming yankee harbor. While I would love to have a yankee harbor/cape cod feeling land in our park, the theme was pretty much killed in 1992 and again in 2001 w/ v2 and Ice Mountain spash. The buildings dont even look good enough anyways. I say they should just retheme the section to colonial america. That wouldnt be hard for six flags. They're good at makin main streets in all the other parks, and I want one like it. It would look really good.

I actually like how they made it come out to be on that water park. But its to small.

Also, damn you guys stop being so mean to those people! I mean like then there will be a fight and then either this chat room is going to go or somebody else is. And thats not fair if the other person leaves because of you! Yeah I know it can get annoying to look at their posts but if it really bothers you dont read there posts at all. You say to read the forum rules well you should to it says not to make any fights and look what you guys are saying. Yeah I got into fights here to but then I stoped I did not start them at all! And on the index page for the forum listings it said members please read! I suggest you Binks Drake to read it because Im basically talking to you and SFGaMownz. :)

Did you read my post LaTiNoObSeSeDSFGAm, if you didn't (because from the sound of your post it souded like you didn't) I suggest you do. And the only reason i said those things is because it's true. From the looks of it SFgamer doesn't care anything about these boards. He just comes on so he can feel smart by "Knowing" all the secrets. And i was trying to give him advice (Like my post says) not insult him.

Not to add any confusion, but I'm sure that Six Flags could get out of the contract with MGM by tearing down our SSA, but opening another Stargate ride at another park... just my 2 cents.
