I would bet, even money, that it is going over by the AE/Rb/Viper overflow lot. I think its actually going to stretch back to the AE helix, why? The Washington St. entrance will not be reopened, so why not develop that area.
Also, everyone keeps complaining that the lot needs repaving... Well now it makes complete sense of why NOT to pave right now.... If they do pave it'll be after they complete construction so that all of the trucks don't destory the freshly paved asphalt.
As to if it will be free or another charge... I think it will be a charge. The major SF parks (GAdv & MM ) Their parks are extra charges. Not to mention that SF will want to recoop their losses ASAP ( They mentioned that it will not be in the first year of the waterpark's operation, but possibly in '06). And the quickest way to recoop those losses is via the extra charge.

No! No! No! What, do you want us to become PGA or something?
Now, I'm thinking that SFGAm may do the same thing that SFNE does. Waterpark is free with admission, but don't forget that $15 locker that you pretty much forced to rent.
I don't see them putting the waterpark near Superman. For one, the drop off zone is right there, it's too close to residential areas, and there are better areas near the park than near Superman and the lake.
To thecoasterguy. "I don't expect it to be HUGE, at least not right away."
Depending on what the top executives consider "HUGE". They could see the problem with having Noahs Ark in the same market, so they think they need to go HUGE.
And could you see people's feet if they decided to put in ashpalt?
In Two or Three Weeks the 24 Acres of parking lot behind Viper and Bull start transforming. Also The Go Carts will be Moving into the park with A Major Attraction leaving. 35Million while I don't think we need a Water Park it should be a good one. Big question I have is what about Traffic Flow and Parking, will there be enough?
Bleh, wouldn't surprise me if it was Ice Mountain Splash but since Yankee Harbor's supposed to be somewhat Yankee Harbor themed Splashwater Falls being replaced with the Gocarts makes more sense.
I'd doubt it would be the Pictorium simply because the IMAX is still very popular... However, it is also very expensive...
SSA would make much more sense, esp. the fact that they haven't put anything towards themeing etc with the Stargate addition, and it always seems that 1/2 of it is broken. It is also much less popular than the IMAX. SSA has seen better days.
Just wait two weeks and all your questions will be answered. 35Million is a ton of cash and like it or not Six Flags has wanted this for a long time. You'll get a great view from Viper and Bull.

Why would they move the Go-Karts to where Ice Mountain Splash is? Ice Mountain Splash is mostly over water(which would make sense ) and then they would have to pay tons of money for conrete just for the Go-Karts and they would ruin Yankee Harrbor even more just for a dumb Go-Kart track.
I don't know if I believe that this will go near Viper. I have a hunch where it will go, and some strong facts to back up that area, but I don't want to state anything as this is the park's announcement to make and not mine, even if I were to be right.
I also don't believe that Splashwater Falls will leave, although I wouldn't miss it at all if it did.
And Deja Vu, I agree with you that the size is totally in the hands of the executives, but I'm just thinking that the more they spend now on the important stuff like blacktop, the better off they will be in the long run. I'm *hoping* they go that route.
Proper swimwear is required. The following are not permitted: provocative swimwear, long pants, swimwear with rivets, buckles or any metal or hard plastic ornamentation as well as t-shirts are not allowed on body slides.
Considering that the go-karts are going to move, why wouldn't you take SSA out of there? It's getting unpopular, and it's getting junky. However, Splash Water Falls today had it's boat stuck on the hill, and it didn't look like it was working (it was 70 today). I haven't seen that working too much this year or IMS either. The possibilities are endless.
After Ron/Wolfs Comment, someone suggested the Pictorium As the "Major Attraction," While i wouldn't call an Imax a "Major Attraction," I've seen it closed recently. I mean days with no show times. I've seen that i think twice in the past month. It might have just been once i'm not sure but...who knows. As long as i'm not fond of this "Major Attraction" i don't really care if it's removed.
The three things that have a possibility of going (SWF, Pictorium, or SSA), I could really care less about. However, if SFGAm takes SWF out, and doesn't move it the waterpark, this would be a big mistake. It's perfect for a waterpark. It gets you soaked to the extreme. Couldn't they move the go-karts across from the Orbit, or is that too small of an area?
