It took about six hours to get all the way to Wisconsin Dells on the 7th. Stopping at rest stops, is what my family loves. Saturday was a bad day. We were supposed to go Noah's Ark, and have Sunday for the Wisconsin State Fair, but plans changed. We were also supposed to go SFGAm on the way home.
So, what we did Saturday was look around the Dells area, and eat at Ponderosa. <<Yummy. We passed by Mt. Olympus and the sign said that Hades is going to be the world's ????. All things considering, it didn't look that big, and other wooden coasters are taller and can't be faster. What's left? I can't start a rumor, so I can't tell you what I think. It still looks like it will take a little of time before it's built though.
Sunday came and we were off to Noah's Ark. We got there a little late because of hotel problems. (I won't bore you guys with that stuff.) Since I can't remember what I went on first (only being two days ago), I will start with the worst attraction. This would have to be Noah's Incredible Adventure. I believe it was put in new for 2003. The reason I don't like this ride is because it's dumb. You first watch a video how you are going to Noah's Ark and you have to take this elevator down to it. I don't even think the elevator goes down 115 feet (I think they said that). It moves but, it doesn't seem like you get too far.
Anyway, the next "attraction" of this ride is this room that looks like Noah's Ark. You sit in these rows (somewhat like SSA), and the room supposedly moves while you are moving. My brother thought he was going upsiide down, but you are really not. It's really lame. The last part of this Adventure was going through a mini-maze with mirrors. You say some fake animals well exiting.
0/10 would be good for this attraction.
We went on Kowabunga once which was a slide that had mini-versions of Roaring Rapids boats.
Dark Voyage and Congo Bongo also had these rafts. Anyway, this ride goes straight down, has a bump, straight down, has bump, and straight down. It quite a good ride. 7/10 for Kowabunga.
Dark Voyage is a twisty enclosed slide which gets a 9/10. Congo Bonga is a twisty non-enclosed slide in which I give 8/10.
They have a boat ride just like Splashwater Falls called Flash Flood which is really good in trunks. 7/10.
I liked Thunder Rapids a lot which is a cool slide that is in the ground already. (Hopefully, you guys get that.) 10/10 for left side. On the right side you stop, so I didn't go on that.
Jumping Waters and Bermuda Triangle were similiar, so I'll grade them together. I went on both of them with the tubes. They are your average fast twisty small tube or mat rides. 7/10 for both. We also went on the lazy river near the front of the park which is half boring and half exciting. 5/10 because it's quite long and half boring.
Black Thunder, Black Thunder, Black Thunder. This slide is great. I really enjoyed the two in the middle because they go straight down with one bump and are quite rough. 10/10. They are all enclosed with two being twisty and two being the ones I went on. I definetly on this slide more than 20 times.
The End of Noah's Ark is soon. Lastly they had minature golf 8/10, and the Stingray which was a weird slide. The best way to explain it is going on a skateboard ramp with a tube, instead of a bike or a skateboard. 6/10 It's okay.
Short Wisconsin State Fair.
Carnival Part Only
Many Rides: Himalaya (a little older), Starship 2000 (not different from Gravitron), Spin Out (Great Ride, best ride their, G's were amazing), Zipper (<<newer<<disappointing, seemed like 20 seconds backwards and 20 seconds forward), Roller Coaster (good ride , employee said it takes 15-16 hours to put it up, and 6 hours to take it down) Orbiter (painful to see an old boring one, SLOW), Freak Out ( It looked new, and it is a pendulum that swings back and worth and spins. Good ride), Cliff Hanger, Tornado, Giant Ferris Wheel, Medium Ferris Wheel, Tilta-A-Whirl, Yo Yo (It barely tilted. It was a big disappointment.), Drop Zone (It's a smaller Giant Drop. It's a good ride.), a couple fun houses, two bumper cars, two dark rides, (They were pretty stupid. Disney does them much better.), a timed Sizzler (fast Scrambler), and the Kamikaze. There were other smaller rides, but I couldn't or didn't go on them. My favorite rides were a dissapointment, and I made new favorites. I think I'll stick with Windy City Amusements.
I thank you for reading my trip report, and I will
be glad to answer any questions within my reach.

Yeah, I'd have to agree with you that Windy City amusements own, they brought almost all of their top rides to the fair that was basically in my backyard.
Have you ridden their newest ride, "X-scream" its rather fun.
You probably made a good decision for not going to Noah's Ark on Saturday because it was rather on the chilly side. I believe Big Chief's Mt. Olympus is going to claim Hades as the "Worlds largest underground coaster", or something to that matter.
You first watch a video how you are going to Noah's Ark and you have to take this elevator down to it. I don't even think the elevator goes down 115 feet (I think they said that). It moves but, it doesn't seem like you get too far.
When I was in there last year it didn't seem like the elevator was moving at all, there were just lights and a lot of fans blowing on you.
And Freak Out was definatly my favorite ride at WI State Fair, that thing was like a Frisbee with awesome G's and height.

Are you kidding me? That ride is horrible, it was at this carnival by my house last year I went on it once I hated it, I spent my time on the Zipper for the remainder of the day.

Yes, I have at it's premiere carnival (by coincedence only) Windy City Amusements in Bloomingdale last year. It was lame to me. It was too slow to say the least. Maybe, you got the "better" version. I say that word because it's more worn out which is a good thing for a new ride.
To w00dland:
Was the Inverter running when you were at the WSF? It was in back around the Freak Out partially set up.
To DejaVu The Ride:
I thought I did see the sign of the world's largest with ???. This is what I think about what you said. They put one part of the track around the parking lot and the track is going down while the other part of the track is way on the other side.
To People who want to go to Noah's Ark: Buy those water sandals that are very hard to come off. The ground can be painful in bare feet, and with regular sandals you can't ride the rides..

I'm looking at a picture of the sign right now. "World's....?". And I also agree about Noah's Ark, walking on the hard concrete between the Big Kahuna and around to Dark Voyage and Congo Bongo can be living h*** on your feet.
For the Inverter, I thought they set it up and took it down. However, considering that you were there earlier than me, they never put the ride up for the public. If you remember seeing a backwards pinkish ride near Freak out, that would be it.

It won't be the tallest. That statement has been changed multiple times. Nick, the Gm, claims that the ride will be the longest underground coaster now.
I went to WSF on Sat the 7th and the inverter was in the back behind the one fun house and Freak Out (which was probably the best ride there)
I agree with the zipper, although my cousin and I flipped over 10 times, it was way too short of a ride. However, that was the first time in a LONG while that I saw them load both sets of cars on it (I'm talking any zipper ride, not just the one at wsf.)
Then, I had to do the whole "lady with the snake body thing" becuase my younger cousin wanted to do it and I was watching him. Biggest waste of a buck ever. They needed to pull this illusion off a lot better in my opinion, but they're making $$$ so what do they care???
Overall, the thing that ticked me was people with no common sense. Let's see.....
1 ride ticket= $1
20 tickets = $20
All day wristband for Kiddie Kingdom/Main Midway $20
Hello! It's still a better deal to buy a wristband for the child than 20 tickets. I mean you can only go on 2-3 rides with 20 tickets vs. numerous rides with a wristband!
Jumping Waters and Bermuda Triangle were similiar, so I'll grade them together. I went on both of them with the tubes. They are your average fast twisty small tube or mat rides
I think you have Jumping Waters confused. Jumping Waters are a bunch of fountains near the exit to Stingray. I think you are talking about Jungle Rapids.
SFGAMkid wrote:Sure...actually it was actually "2" people...I'll explain
My brother and his friend went in first while we my cousin and I were waiting in line for Freak Out, and then we went in.
Basically in the tent was a green octagon shaped box with plexi-glass around the sides, and in the middle was a green table. The lady's head was in the middle of this box while the snake tail "connected" to her spine wound around the edge of the table in the box.
It was kind of funny because there was this other lady standing across from us saying..."Let me see you move" and then the snake lady opened and closed her mouth, but then the lady said "No! I mean your rattle on your tail!" Snake lady didn't know what to do or say then...
Anyhow we went out and asked my brother what the lady looked like and he said she was black, but when we were in there, it was a white lady. That's where "2" came in.
That's basically it.....
