Great Day (8-9-04)

Let us know how your day at the park was.
Postby Binks Drake on August 9th, 2004, 11:36 pm
I arrived at the park this afternoon at about 3:30. The parking lot looked sort of Empty so I was hoping it wouldn't be that crowded. I was right! We got in the park quickly and were immeadiatly nagged by Bugs Bunny and the Photo people. I don't know why but those people who try to take your picture really irk me.

Anyway...Our first ride was superman. We opted for Row 6. The two people sitting next to us were really nice. We talked the whole ride. They had never been on it before so they were kind-of freaking out. It was sort of funny. 8/10.

I noticed King Chaos running and I ran into the line. There were only a couple of people ahead of me and I got on immeadiatly. I don't know what everyone has been complaining about! I thought it was great! We flipped upside down 6 times! That's the most inversions in the park. (Deja Vu Technically also has 6). But anyway i thought it was great. 7/10.

While I was on KC I noticed the parade backstage. They were moving the floats around. It was probably just for starage reasons until the parade or something. But it intrgued me. After this we went of Roaring Rapids. The line started at the bridge and moved pretty fast. I got soaked! 8/10.

I didn't feel like doing Batman or ERC so we moved on. I noticed that V2 was closed. Then i looke over to County Fair and Deja Vu was open! That's a swich! We continued through Yukon and Took a whirl on Revolution. This is probably my new favorite flat. I love this ride! 9/10.

We skipped AE and headed to Demon. I sat with this nice older lady in the back row. I think show might have been an enthusiast. We talked in the station and after the breakrun. Is that anyone here?! There was a little less head-banging on Demon today and I thought it was great. I'd give it a 7/10 for running exceptionally well today. By the way it was only about a 10 minute wait.

Then we headed to Viper. I love this coaster. The line started in the station. it was almost a walk-on. This little kid (like 9) line jumped us. We told the ride-op. The Op walked up to the kid and said "No line jumping" then he walked away! I was like "WTF?" But we got on and had a great ride in 1:3. 10/10.

We decided to do Bull next. But we stopped and had a snack first. The line for Bull started at the downward stairs. And once again no one notices the "People who wish to sit in Row 1, please stay to the left" sign. I wish people would learn to read. I mean, sure, occasionally I won't notice something like that. But a whole staircase full of people! What the heck! Anyway Bull was a great ride. 9/10.

After that we did River Rocker. Unfortunatly we had to sit in the middle. It was okay but i like the end so much better. 3/10. Then we took a spin on Ricochet. 4/10.

We decided to do a quick Triple Play. Another walk-on I might add. I hate the new colors. I want it orange again. This was always my favorite ride when i was little! 6/10. Then we did Sky Trek Tower. I got some cool pics from this. The glass didn't disturb them at all. 6/10.

After that, we did ERC twice. This is a great ride, too bad there aren't more of them out there. 8/10. And walked on to Batman Row 1! That rocked. Then went around and did Batman row 8. Both walk-ons. It was great.

We ended the day with a quick spin on Condor, 4/10. Then i bought a shirt, that says "2004 Six Flags" And has the looney tunes riding a roller coaster. I bought some Dippin' Dots and we were off at 8:15. On our way home we got a great light show from some lightning a little south of us. It was cool.

Overall it was a great day. Perhaps my favorite all year. 10/10!

No, They added some fans that mist the gamers at that row of Southwest Territory Skill Games. Look at SFGA 11's Pics.

Did V2 ever open? Misters, why? We are not exactly down south where we need them.

Why would they put those by the games before they put them in the queue lines? I would think people are hotter when waiting in a line then when playing a game.

Well it was in SWT. :) And Papas, I was not referring to the Coca Cola Cool Zone. That area feels like dust is falling on you. It does nothing.

Thye installed about 10 fans along the games, but only 2 or 3 were on. I have no idea why they would put them there first.

The fans have been there for about 2 weeks now because I was enjoying them before I went on Vacation. Also a note specifically to Papa's they repainted the Demon sign. :)

I was sort of marathoning King Chaos yesterday with 8 rides on it. 7-8 flipped 6 times, one flipped once. It's a great ride!

Hmm, so that makes the sign, exit/station rails, all of station, re-concreted the queue, oh yeah, and the actual ride all this year, yay Demon :).
