SFGAm July 29th- Deja Vu, finally!

Let us know how your day at the park was.
Postby DejaVuGurl1203 on July 29th, 2004, 10:27 pm
We left at about 9:35 and got there at 11 due to some backups. Got into the park at 11:25 and ran to Deja Vu, seeing it was open. Got in line with no switchbacks open- but about 5 minutes later they opened up 4 switchbacks. One hour wait for 1A - SWEET RIDE. :D

I headed into Southwest Territory and went on Giant Drop - no wait, with fastlane. Then I went onto RB, 15 minute wait for back row with fastlane. As we passed by Hometown Fun Machine I decided to ride that, thinking there would be a short wait. 30 minute wait... The ride is faster than it looks, to me at least. 5.5/10

Then it was time for SUF - 10 minute wait for back row with fastlane. Then I headed toward King Chaos, just to check out the line - Wow, it was pretty crowded today but the line for KC was pretty short. 10 minute wait. Great ride...

Then I headed toward Logger's Run - Took me a few minutes to find the fastlane entrance. Anyways, 5 minute wait with fastlane. Wow, I love that double drop, and I got off soaking wet. 7/10

After that, I went on V2. 20 minute wait for front row with fastlane. AWESOME ride. I now like V2 more than BTR. Went on BTR right after that, 10 minute wait for back row with fastlane.

Headed to Iron Wolf after that, not too much of a line but I used fastlane anyway. Got on in back row in about 5 minutes. Definitely smoother than last season. Then I got in line for AE - I wanted to go front row on AER, but the line for AEB was MUCH shorter. The station was practically empty. So about a 20 minute wait for front row AEB.

Afterwards, I headed over to Bull. Got in 2 rides in the back row using the fastlane, within 30 minutes. Two great rides on Bull... :) Next was V2. 10 minute wait for back row with fastlane. Back row is really awesome, but I still like the front a lot better.

After that was BTR. 10 minute wait for back row with fastlane. Nearly blacked out after the first loop, same thing happened earlier today on it. I got on V2 again with fastlane. 20 minute wait for front row. Man, I love V2 so much now, today it was just completely awesome.

It was about 6:35 when I got off. I had to run over and ride Vu to end the night, no matter what. I expected a full queue - which was like that for most of the day. Found all but 4 switchbacks open. After 30 minutes of waiting in line, I heard the famous Vu breakdown message for the first time this season. The breakdown only lasted about 5 minutes. 1 hour and 20 minute wait for 1A. Once again, sweet ride. Ah, Vu was definitely the best part of the day.

I got off right at 8 when I had to leave. Well, as we were walking past Triple Play I asked my mom if I could hop on that, since the line was short. Got right on it, I had to.

RB- 3

It sounds like Thursdays are really busy compared to the rest of the weekdays. I have gone the last two thursdays and they were a lot busier than what the trip reports make the rest of the weekdays out to be. Glad you had fun today!

Am I more glad that D Vu is open or that someone has made a trip report to SFGAm? It's been six days. I think D Vu takes the cake. It also is the best part of my day when it's open. (Another topic, hmm.. What's usually the best part of your day???) I'll leave that up to someone else. How did you like the Triple Play light show and the BIG question is what color did you pick?

The light show was cool. I picked yellow, cause the only 2 available cars left were yellow. I think there was another car available, a red car, but I chose yellow anyway.

3, making 12 rides. We used the "buy two get one free" coupon. I told my mom to just get 2... But whatever.

Takes the cake of what? It always does this, it'll be real reliable after it opens then a few weeks later it hits the fan again. Nothings changed on it.

30 minutes for Hometown Fun Machin is insane, I would have walked right out of the line if I saw it was that long .

We don't need a whole topic for that. The best part of my day is entering the park. There, it's like you care?(Hey, I rhymed!) lol jk

How does that rhyme? I guess I'll be taking your signature more seriously now. LoL

You are lucky #1 you got 3 fastlanes. #2 you didnt have to share them with someone who doesnt even like coasters.

Pics from Thursday. I also took a bunch of footage of some rides, I might plan on creating a video sometime after the end of the 2004 season.
