How much is too much?

Well it depends on how much you can afford. If your just gonna be spending your parents money for transportation and food then you should probably limit yourself.

Put your priorities where you belong. Some people need to get a job and earn some of their own money.

For me, pearsonally, going more than once a week is too much. Gas is expensive and I just don't have time to be waltzing around a theme park all the time. One school starts even going at all is too much. Currently, I stick in my 'once a month rule' where I will go just about once a month.

NOTE: This is no attack on anyone in particular, I just find that going to the park a lot is just kinda odd. BUT that is my opinion, and I am entitled to it.

I think that it doesn't matter at all how many times someone goes to the park. It doesn't matter how many times people post on this site. All that matters is that they are doing something that they like, and get to talk about it with other people that like it. Going to the park is just fun for some people, and they cannot get bored of it, but for others, they can get bored easily. Some people go because they can and they have access to getting the park easily. Just let's not talk about the people that like going often, and I am one of them, I would have gone 60+ times if I did not have to spend my summer at Northwestern.

I honestly think it'd take away from the thrill and excitement of going. 50-60 times just might be TOO many. I get excited going every once in a while. Now I know that I go WAY more times than any of my friends, but even so, I don't go too many that it's not fun anymore. I get this thrill from visiting amusment parks, a feeling that's hard to describe. Like butterflies in your stomach almost. But 50-60 times would take that feeling away and ruin the experience.

I agree 100% with that coastrcorey. I go to SFGAm about five times a year. Usually once every month except for September. For me, I get an adrenaline(sp) rush from just driving into the parking lot, let alone walking into the gate. It's the excitement I get from a place that I love, but can only get to four/five times yearly.

I'm sure that if I lived close enough(which won't ever happen), I'd go probably as often as Papas does. And why not? People aren't wierd when they go to every home basketball or football game, why should a theme park be any different? If it is something that you really love doing, I'd say do it as often as possible. Especially when you always have six months of offseason waiting just around the corner!

I've noticed that since the season started, I have gotten a lot faster, this is definitly a result of visiting GAm a lot. Today at the Hometown chains they dropped another one erlier than mine, there were these 2 upper teens guys that seemed pretty fast I thaught I was gonna get my butt kicked, turned it up, and ended up breezing right through them and got to Vu first. Last year even before I broke my foot I could barely ever make it to Vu first, especially on a sprint (i'd have to slow down, what a oaf I was then ). Now when I turn it up and decide to run real fast it seems like in the movies when the spaceship goes into overdrive the stars become lines. This has never happened to me before and now I can easily do it whenever I want. I also used to get tired running around at GAm all day, now it's nothing at all.

Yes, going to GAm a lot is very, very good for you. Makes me feel a lot more in shape.

Yeah I'm sure it is good for your body to be getting that exercise all day. I wonder how much a typical person would walk in one day visit. Probably a lot! Just don't eat their greasy food. Keep walking past their food, walk to your car, walk to the picnic area and eat better food that fried greasy stuff!

I have also seen my sprinting improve. I was at the bacl of the pack at Hometown square and then once everyone became spread out, I got around and got 8th to Bull.(I would have been closer to first if it wasn't for these slow people that I don't want to trample. Running of the Bulls can get crazy!)

First train Bull is easy. As long as I'm with another person that runs, we're usually one of the first couple there. Even if you don't get a good start, people always end up dropping back. Wow...this has turned into a sport almost lol.

Last year they watched everyone as the chains dropped to make sure no one ran. This year, both times I've been there, it's like mad season when the chains drop! Opening day on the Superman side was crazy!
I think it adds a little more fun to the day

It also lets me know how out of shape I am. I start running with everyone under the train bridge at Mardi Gras, and I'm pooped by the time I get to Batman!

If I lived close enough to the park to go 60 or more times a year, I probably would. But at the sametime I think going to the park that often would take away some of the excitement. Wouldnt it get kinda old after the 50th time in the same year?

Getting to Raging Bull on the first train is hard when your behind 200 people with the same thing on their mind. They really don't care if you run, but watch out for the little ones. I saw two kids trampled over and the parents showed there appreciation with some nice little cuss words.
