Worst Ride name at SFGAm

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

What ride at SFGAm do you think has the worst name? I myself think that the worst name is Chubasco. It doesnt make any sense to me at all. The ride spins why didnt they use a western name that meant spin or something.

^ I agree, only because someone posted here a while ago that it means "heavy shower". I thought it meant "tea cups" in Spanish.

I would have to say Jester's Wild Ride. It just sounds weird. I'm sure no one agree with me. However, there is one ride people want changed so badly. I'm not saying what, because it's fine the way it is.

All the water ride names are bad ( except Loggers Run) especially Ice Monutain Splash, bring back Yankee Clipper!

Yeah the Jester's Wild Ride name doesn't exactly fit the ride itself. I would have to say that I don't find it the least bit wild. But maybe some 5 year old does.

I think the worst ride name in the park Triple Play. It's the only one that I can think of that just doesn't make sense to me. Everything else is pretty good, name wise.

Is that a joke?

It doesn't make sense? I've never been on it, but isn't it the ride with 3 arms, hence meaning, triple?

NO. I realize that it has 3 arms.

It doesn't make sense to name the ride the obvious. The name is stupid to me. Name it something to match the Hometown square theme.

And, Ilovthevu, I wouldn't be talking. Jester's Wild Ride just doesn't sound good to you?

Isn't this an onpinionated thread? If you answered yes, then aren't people entitled to their own opinions? It seems like everyone is knockin on everyone else right here.

Now, back on Topic.
The ride I think that has the worst name is Giant Drop. I think they could've came up with a more creative name than that.

I'm just asking, don't kill me. Some times people joke when they are actually not, and vice versa. I don't which is which most of the time.

I think that's one ride that could actually use the word "The" infront of it. It would make more sense if it was The Jester's Wild Ride for some reason for me.

I believe it is referring to not only the arms, but also baseball. America's past time fits in with the theme and "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" is played on the section's soundtrack. They were probably trying to come up with as baseball name, and noticed the arms, so they named it "Triple Play".

It's a little better than the original name that Huss has it under, Troika. What does that mean? Before they had advertised Triple A on the tvs and I thought they were saying Triple Play in the song. That's kind of weird to name it after baseball, but yet SFGAm has The Orbit, and Fiddler's Fling so what do I know.

Yeah baseball makes sense. If any of you guys are big enough roller coaster/sfgam nerds I'll tell you why they call it triple play and how it relates to baseball:

In the game of baseball if your team has gotten 0/3 outs in the half of the inning and the guy up to bat hits a fly ball one of the guys in the out field catches it the guy that was up is out. Then if there is a guy on fist and second base the guy that caught the ball can throw it to first asuming that the guy on first took a lead off the base and he is out. Then in the same situation the guy that caught the ball at first can throw to second also asuming the guy at second took a lead off. That my friends is a triple play in baseball terms.

In simpler turns people, it's a really good thing!

It's not the first time I've been in the sfgamworld.com forums. In fact the majority of you guys remember me but I'm gonna let you guess.

But in my opinion the worst name for a ride at sfgam is ricochet. I mean I know it's a spanish word but still.

And I have to say that Iron Wolf an Superman don't fit the section of the park they are in. I mean Iron Wolf should be in Yukon Territory and Superman shouldn't be in Orleans Place same thing with batman.
