Let us know how your day at the park was.
Postby SfGaMownz on July 24th, 2004, 12:42 am
Didn't really want to go today, because it was Friday and a beautiful day out. Mom had things to do in morning so didn't get there til around 2 and all the gates were open and people were still pouring in. The overflow lot was not open yet but it took forever to find a spot. Rides that may not be operating: King Chaos, Deja Vu, Ice Mountain Splash.

My mom of course went off and sat on a bench while me and my brother went on the rides. S:UF had a full queue as did Ragin', B:TR was in the courtyard section, V2 was using a few switchbacks which is to much. Iron Wolf was almost to the entrance using no switchbacks so we waited. It was about 20 minutes we took back row.

Didn't even glance at AE, Revolution was about 15 mins. Now we head to Southwest and they had this awsome SUV filled with screens and Gamecubes. The trunk was a gaint about 40 inch screen that was like the type that movie theaters have and it was 4 player split screen Mario Kart Double Dash. On the outside near the back there was a part that lifted up and appeared a Gamecube inside a little opening with MVP it was so cool. Inside above the back seats were Spiderman 2 and Tony Hawks Underground. Me and my brother played MVP I was the Cubs he was the Sox. He didn't know how to play even after reading the controls so I took advantage of that by crushing him 37-1:lol:. Sosa went 7 for 7 with 7 home runs and 12 RBI and we stopped after the 7th inning.

After the surprising Gamecube mobile we saw that :gasp: Raging Bull was out to the entrance using 2 rows of switchbacks and had 3 trains running. It was the shortest line for any coaster in the park which is amazing even Demon was a longer wait. We took advantage of riding 3 times each wait about 20 minutes. Once in 3rd row, and 3 in 9th or back row. Great ride, nothing beats the back, the seat closest to the airgates. Simply amazing.

My brother wanted to go and so we made out way to the front. My mom also wanted to get on some rides. So we took a ride on Trailblazer eh whats there to say it goes up and around and then reverses. Next was Orbit. Haven't been on that in a couple of years, I need to ride it some more. Finally Triple Play, back in its glory with its horrible loading and unloading time. Which was even worse because this op was slow as hell.
The paint job looks amazing and the ride is the same but it looks like the Yellow arm goes faster then all the other arms, I was on the Green, the Red looked to be going slow and the Yellow was flying.

So we left at about 6:15. I was surprised that Raging Bull was so short but was glad that they had the 3 trian op of that line would've been alot longer. I finally got on some flats the only ones I had been on prior to the ones today this season were Jester's Wild Ride, King Chaos and Revolution. Wish we could've stayed longer, need more Raging Bull!

Ride totals
Iron Wolf- 1 ride back row
Raging Bull- 3 rides, 2 back row
Traiblaizer- 1 ride
Orbit- 1 ride
Triple Play- 1 ride

7 rides, 4 coaster rides.

Why hasnt IMS been open lately? It was almost open every day in May/June, it was doing so good. Is it staffing issues, if it is that would be odd you would think it would be the other way around(not open as much in May/June, open more in July which is a busier and hotter month.

It doesn't go faster it starts first.

Why hasnt IMS been open lately?

It's been open daily until a few days ago.

Maybe, it's not too crowded when it's open. They should get rid of IMS. Logger's Run is much better.

Has anyone been on Splash Water Falls this year? Has that been crowded? I usually skip it because it's too simple and not entertaining for me. Roaring Rapids is much more fun!!!!!!

What? Since when!? You get more wet, big deal. Clipper has the better drop, cooler boats, longer.
As far as Clipper it was open today and is open daily.

I was there on the 23rd, and it wasn't too crowded, all the lines looked long, but they were short in time length. :D I got on 28 rides, 18 coasters for being there from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.. in my opinion that is good for a July day

WHAT?! IMS is much better. It doesn’t get you as wet so on a cool day you can ride and not be miserable for the rest of the day.

I beg to differ, IMS is so-so, Loggers run provides a little more thrill, and its not going anywhere soon, seeing its recent renovation.

Logger's Run and IMS are the same ride but the drop, and in my opinion a strait drop instead of a double drop is more thrilling.

Splash Water Falls has a straight drop and Logger's Run has the "bump." That's the reason why I said that.

I decided later in that topic that both of them get about the same amount of water on you. So, really it doesn't matter that one has a bump and one doesn't.
