Frightened of Lightning!

Hello!

I got to the park at about 7:00. I think. I'm not really sure. I noticed a new sign in front of the Columbia. It's probably for the Six Flags Party Show. We walked over and rode the new Triple Play. My Baby is gone! It's not orange! AHHH! I'm over it.

We decided to skip Whizzer and headed over to Viper. Great Ride. I think i saw someone from this site in front of us! He was around 6' 1". He was wearing a Blue T-Shirt with some palm trees on it. Was that anyone? He seemed like he knew what he was talking about so i figured he might be here. And he looked familiar.

My companion didn't want to ride bull so we skipped it and rode Ricochet. It got me thinking...we have three swinging type rides. Ricochet, Whirligig, and Big Easy Baloons. Isnt that kind of weird?

Vu was closed so we headed over to Revy. Then we went up to Eagle Blue. I don't really like Iron Wolf so we skipped it. we were gonna save V2 for CAD so we went ot Batman. Short wait. In the station the op said they might shut the ride down 'til the storm passed but they let us up. We were climbing up the lift and at the very top a lightnight bolt struck right in front of us. For the rest of the ride I was just screaming "BAD KARMA" That was the first time I've ever been frightened for my life on a coaster!

Then we went to ERC. We skiped Cajun. and went over to Whizzer. When we were riding we saw the Parade from above, and that was kind of cool. I did take a few pics. but my camera kept doing weird things so not very many. I'll post them soon.

Oh! Right! The rest of the story!
We decided not to stay for coasters after dark because of the lightning. We didn't want ot drive back home in it.

Ironically, I just was talking about that yesterday. Did it actually strike the ride? I'm glad it didn't injure anyone though. For the Whirlgig, Balloons, and Ricochet, I would say that the Whirlgig and Balloons are more similiar than Ricochet.

If it wasn't for the tilting in different directions on Whirlgig, I would say that the Balloons and Whirlgig are the same. Ricochet is quite different though because the cars goes up and down while the ride is turning. On Ricochet, you feel like you are pushed in a certain direction just like the Hometown Fun Machine does. The Whirlgig and the Balloons don't have the push.

Right before that Downpour around 3 yesterday I was on Sky Trek Tower. About 1/2 way into the ride there was a flash of light and the lights dimmed in the ride and the recording stopped, then started again twice as we immediadly desended down the tower. I thought it was quite odd. Perhaps we got struck by lightning?

Thats awesome. It would be awesome if someone had a picture of lightning hitting the tower. I only stayed from 7 to 10 and we got on 5 coasters.
