Ya know, everyone gotten so political lately. All I see for sigs are, Bush cheney, Kerry edwards, Michael Moore should leave, blah Blah blah. I include myself in this. This isn't a political website so why are we trying to make it one?
^ The reason we are making this a political website is because we have such a big election coming up. Our country’s future is at stake. Over the past four years, we have lost many lives due to the stupid antics of W and his administration. I would be all for going for Bin Laden, because he did 9/11. But Saddam, who we have no evidence of being involved in 9/11 was not the man to go to war with. I know that he was a terrible tyrant, but to the majority of the citizens of Iraq, life is much worse now. What Bush did sparked numerous attacks which killed many civilians as well as Americans. As one of the smartest men who came out of the administration Richard Clark told us all, when 9/11 happened the first words at the meeting were "Lets bomb Iraq". When Clark told the administration that Iraq was not involved, the White House replied "Wrong Answer". There is only one logical answer for why we bombed Iraq: Bush’s revenge for Gulf War I. Now, though I am a conservative believe it or not, I am supporting John Kerry for the next President of the United States of America. I can't put up with Bush's stupidity any longer. He spits on his lawn, he makes faces as if he were drunk, he confuses his right hand from his left. I have nothing against George H.W. Bush, but his son is the one who really should be on the "axis of evil". As you can see below in my signature (as of 7/16), I wrote a line from a show called "Capital Steps". It says, "You can't spell War without the W."
EDIT: For those of you who say Edwards is not qualified to be President, LOOK AT BUSH. Also, what Clinton lied about was his personal life, not what country attacked our United States.

If me or Dave see things getting out of hand we'll stop it so don't worry. We know its a hot topic, and discussion is a good thing, flames to other people are not. As long as everyone behaves, it'll be fine. And thats also why that discussion is confined to this topic.

Did you completely forget that we attacked Afghanistan right after 9/11 and we still have troops there?
But Saddam, who we have no evidence of being involved in 9/11 was not the man to go to war with.
Yeah, you're right. We had no business liberating the Iraqi people from Saddam's tyranny.

Where were you for 9/11?

No, it's because Bush thought that Iraq was a threat to us because they had weapons of mass destruction. Don't even give me that "they never had any" crap. The problem was that we gave them plenty of warning to get them out of there before we came to inspect.
Now, though I am a conservative believe it or not, I am supporting John Kerry for the next President of the United States of America. I can't put up with Bush's stupidity any longer.
No, you're not conservative. If you were conservative you'd support the war.

I can't believe what you're saying. You think that Bush is evil? Do you know what Saddam did to his people? And what with the "You can't spell war without the W?". If we didn't go to war, Saddam would still be in power, almost recreationally slaughtering people.
Wow, the typical Bush supporter BS. Were you there for 9/11? OSAMA DID IT, NOT SADDAM. I know that Saddam was a tyrant, but what about North Korea and Cuba. Both of those countries are as much qualified as Iraq was to be bombed by us. Both of those countries also have tyrants. I know that we have troops in Afghanistan, but that is the only place we should have them. Even without Saddam, terrorists are still slaughtering Iraq’s people. Why are the terrorists after everyone? It's because the American's bombed them when they should have been using those troops looking for Bin Laden. Plus, we also need to look at our homeland. We need health care. We need jobs. Just because you are a Democrat or Republican doesn’t mean you absolutely must vote for their candidate.
Why are we not attacking North Korea and Cuba? Simple. They are not a threat to us. Iraq was a major threat to our freedom, so Bush declared war. And terrorists are killing people because we attacked them and we should be looking for Bin Laden? Are you telling me that we should not fight terrorism, but we should look for Bin Laden? Sorry buddy, but we can't do only one of them. Bin Laden is a terrorist, and we are looking for him right now.
Bush simply went to war because he wanted to convince America that hes actually doing something.
Im suprised no ones brought up the fact that Bush had a letter on his desk that said that Alqueda (sp?) was bound to attack within the next month, and look what happened, a month later 700 INNOCENT Americans died because of Bushs lack of common sense.
I think on that fact alone, that he saw that paper, and did nothing about it should get him taken out of the oval office.
If Bush put the country on alert because a very vague threat came in, that wouldn't have done anthing. The terrorists would have just waited for another opportunity. Everyone in the country would have panicked, and Bush would be slammed for that. Then people would let their guards down again, and we would be remembering November 18th instead of September 11th.
Do I Know You wrote:Why are we not attacking North Korea and Cuba? Simple. They are not a threat to us. Iraq was a major threat to our freedom, so Bush declared war.
You would be correct if this were 1991. There was a much better chance that North Korea and Cuba had "WMD's" than Iraq did at the start of the war. As Timmy stated earlier, Al Quadea made threats to our country, an organization that we have no evidence that was related to Saddam. As future VP Edwards said, Saddam needed to be taken out, but we can't write Bush a blank check to go to war whenever he wants because he lies that a country has nuclear weapons.
I can't believe all of this. SFGAmRules, your response to the question of why we are being political is so biased and just adds your politics into the answer. Then when someone refutes you, it's "typical bush supporter BS". Maybe they believe thats the truth and not BS?
When someone points out other things, that may diminish your arguments, its sad to say that its "typical" or BS. If you are going to have a political discussion, leave out the 3rd grader lines.
Bush "Oh we need to liberate the iraquis from their opressive government." THEN he has the nerve to turn around and introduce an AMENDMENT to the US Constitution BANNING GAY MARRAGE. The hell with liberating people from opressive governments!
I honestly do not know what I will do if Bush is reelected. I am not proud of the country that I live in right now. Bush and his country is the laughing stock of europe.
If bush cant see that gay people deserve the same rights then our country truely is a bad country. I can only hope that some other country invades and takes out bush...wait, he will prob crash a segaway or choke on a pretzil. Stupid SOB.
Please...I dont know what my brother is going to do if Kerry got elected. My brother is going to West Point, and he will definately cut military funding. I think it would be sad, that my brother got into one of the hardest colleges in America, just to have the funding cut. I mean, are any of you guys gay? Does any of Bush's policies effect as much as to say "I dont know what I'm going to do if Bush gets elected". DO NOT take this the wrong way, though I know you most of you will. Please enlighten me and really tell me why(?!) Bush getting reelected would be so horrible for you?
I am not gay, but I do have a good friend who is. And who are you to be talking. According to you, your brother is being affected, not you. It sounds like Kerry getting elected wont affect you much either.
Yes, but I was using that as a example. I can't stand when people act as if they are going to die if Bush is going to be reelected. Sometimes people look into parts of politics too deeply.
I just made a phone call on my calling card. It told me that my cents per minute might go up because the White House is trying to raise them. With all that’s going on in the US right now, their focusing on calling card rates? GIVE ME A BREAK.

Sorry, little brother, But I need to speak out to all the democrats
The truth is,
Iraq WAS a threat to America so BUsh declared war. We are now liberating Iraq. It (with anything) will take time to complete.
Terrorists are dangerous. It HELPS the world make peace to capture terrorists. So why do people try to stand in the way of making peace?
As for gay marraige, it says in the constitution that Marraige is between a MAN and a WOMAN. The only reason gays were getting married was because San Francisco's new mayor ILLEGALLY granted marraige licences to gays. Now it's supposed to be legal? Give me a break.
Bush did NOT force anyone to join the milatary. If a soldier is shipped to war, he goes to war. It is VOLUNTARY to fight for your country. I did so I know what i'm talking about.
The economy is bad because after 9/11 Airlines lost substantial money due to unwillingness to fly. The Bush administration needed money to fund security for the country. It would've happened with any other president.
Why are people so against Bush? Is it that hard for people to realize what a good president he is? Or is America so rebellious that they can't even thrust one good Judgement?

Please, Enlighten me, where does it say that in our constitution?
I don't really get into politics. Many of my political posts were my brother speaking through me (before he became a member). He's 19 and has voting rights. I don't so that's why I don't really get into politics

Now it also says that every american has equal rights.
When your saying how great bush is, name ONE good thing he truely did for the enviroment.
