July 12, 2004 Indiana Beach

Let us know how your day at the park was.
Postby coasterfreak11 on July 13th, 2004, 9:57 am
I had never been to IB before, even though it is the closest park to me. We left around 8 and got there around 10:30. To my surprise it was not busy at all, and I was hoping it would remain that for the rest of the day, and it did. Here are the bigger rides I went on.

Lost Coaster-3 (6/10)
Fun ride. Has lots of sharp turns. Wish I could have lost my stomach.

Cornball Express-10 (9/10)
Great ride, lots of air and sometime you get a splash from the log flume when you're going down the drop!

Hoosier Hurricane-8 (8/10)
Fun ride, first drop is good, but some of those turns really throw ya around!

Tigg'r- 6 ((7/10)
Nice ride, great drop and great turns. I just think they should put seatbelts on it like Whizzer for safety reasons.

Double Drop-15 (9/10)
Lots of fun! You really hit your shoulder's on your harness on the second shot!

Chaos-2 ((7/10)
Fun ride, although I didn't flip that much.

Galixi-0
Wasn't open and looks like it hadn't been open for awhile. Has this been closed for some time?

Overall is was a nice little park. I just think they should have scenery w/ trees and flowers. Does IB ever get crowded? It's a shame that they don't sell season passes for people that live near by.

Over all trip- (9/10) Lots of fun!

Do they have an indoor ride, where you go in a car and you watch the scenes? You must have liked it, you gave it a good scoring. Now, don't we need a Chaos by us? I shouldn't be asking you because you only went on it twice. You must not like it.

I'm not sure if they have an indoor ride, if they did, I didn't go on it. And I did like Chaos, I would just rather ride Double Shot! :)

Ilovthevu', have you ever been on a Chaos? Those things are wicked and fun to ride once or twice but any more, ummm no. Anyways, you probably have, so what am I saying.

It is actually a pretty good indoor ride. The old ride that was there was more scary, though, but you didn't get to shoot things. Does anybody remember that ride?

Oh, ya. I saw that, but we didn't go on it because it had a very small line. We like no lines at all! It looked like you shot targets and stuff w/ a gun.

DejaVu The Ride, are you saying that you get bored after awhile? Yes, I've been on the Chaos at SFKK, and once at a carnival a lot of times. The problem is that no carnival or amusement park has it in Illinois anymore (At least of what I know).

I remember it, it used to be called the Haunted Mansion (I believe). As you would go around picture's and things would just light up....it wasn't very scary at all to me as a kid.

As far as the Chaos rides go, they can be really good or really average like most flats depending on the program the ride runs. Alot of the coporate parks that have them (ex. Cedar Point) run very short cycles.

The reason for the short cycles, so no one loses their lunch. in my opinion it's a less tame Zipper.

It was called Mystery Mansion. I personally liked it better because it was kinda spooky. Is the new Air Crow up and running yet?

Ah yeah Mystery Mansion...got it confused with the Disney ride. Doh!

Yes, Air Crow is up and running. I rode it when I was there Memorial Day weekend. Galaxi has also run this year, as I also rode that on Memorial Day weekend.
