SFGAm July 13th - Not So Crowded

Let us know how your day at the park was.
Postby DejaVuGurl1203 on July 13th, 2004, 10:27 pm
Wow today was totally awesome. We left at 8:45 and got there at 10:15 after some slowdowns in traffic. I ran into the park and got to Cajun at about 10:20 and waited for it to open up. Two minutes later it opened up. Got 5th dispatch. Great ride... Got right back in line with 2 switchbacks open. 30 minute wait.

I headed to King Chaos and noticed they had a different program from the last time I was there. 15 minute wait. Awesome ride, but it could've been better. 8/10

Then I headed to BTR and waited 20 minutes for back row. Awesome ride... Then I ran to V2 and almost skipped it cause the line was a little bit long, but I thought what the heck I'm getting on this now. The wait was shorter than I thought it would be - 20 minute wait for front row. GREAT ride...

As I was walking past Camp Cartoon Network I decided to ride Spacely's, it was tempting. Got on in front row in about 5 minutes. Then I took a spin on Fiddler's Fling, walk on. Next I went on Iron Wolf, 15 minute wait for back row. Seems a bit rougher than earlier in the season...

Then I got on Revolution in about 10 minutes. Nice ride. Then I headed to AE, 5 minute wait for red back row, and a 5 minute wait for blue last row to leave the station. It wasn't even 2 yet, and I had already been on 11 rides...

Then I headed to Demon. Walk-on for 6:1. This also seemed a little bit rougher. I looked at Bull's queue from the lift hill, and noticed Bull was pretty much a walk on! I planned to go on Triple Play next, but after seeing Bull's line I had to run over there.

One train wait for Bull back row. Got back on, walk on, back row. Got on again, one train wait, back row again. I was gonna head somewhere else but decided to ride Bull one more time, and ran into Brad while walking through the queue. 10 minute wait for back row. Haha, 4 Bull rides in one half hour! That was probably the best part of today.

Then we went over to Viper... umm 2 train wait for row 3:3. Nice ride... Then we went on Triple Play, my first ride on TP lol. Nice ride... I'll give it a 7/10. Then we headed into Mardi Gras and noticed there was no line for KC, so we waited one ride for that. Another slightly different program, wasn't as good this time.

After that we decided to get in line for Cajun. 30 minute wait with 2 switchbacks open. I cannot get enough of this ride . We went on Ice Mountain Splash after that. My first time on that... 20 minute wait. Cool ride, haha. I'll give it a 7/10. Then we got on Batman row 3 with a 5 minute wait.

We got in line for Iron Wolf, 5-10 minute wait for back row. Even rougher than earlier... Then we got on Revolution in about 5 minutes. Seemed a little more intense. Then we got on AER in back row with a wait of about... 10 minutes. Went on Demon in 6:1 after that, one train wait. Then we went on Viper... one train wait for 4:1.

We then got in line for Bull afterwards, 10-15 minute wait for back row. Hopped onto Giant Drop within 5 minutes... Finally, a non-weak ride on GD. That was great. Went on Demon again, two train wait for front row. That was a killer... Got in line for Whizzer, two train wait for row 3:2. We decided to try SUF after that. After 40 minutes with a 10 minute breakdown, we finally got on. It was 8:15 when we got off, and I had to leave. Great day... It was almost like opening day all over again.

Ride Totals:
Bull - 5
Batman - 2
V2 - 1
IMS - 1
Demon - 3
AER - 2
AEB - 1
GD - 1

What is happening, it's July and the people are not flocking in herds? I think having the price so cheap early on ($25.99) has something to do with this. It seems too cheap for a big park with a lot of rollercoasters.

It was really hot yesterday, it was around 90 degrees. Plus they said there were gonna be some storms for parts of the day, and we also heard about some tornado watches. I figured that might've kept the crowds away. It was just a little less crowded than I thought it would be.

Who is this guy? If this is Mr. Six, SFGAm has gone a little loopy.

Yeah, it is. It's been there since sometime in June, I also saw one somewhere near the front of the park in Carousel Plaza.
