Dosnt quit say what heppend but it is down indefinatly(sp?). All it really says is that peopl where hurt and metel pieces came up at them and that a oily type substance burned people also dosnt say how any of this happend.
Yes that is what happened. That's too bad that had to happen on that ride. I hope everyone is okay. We are unsure on a few people's conditions because of privacy issues. It just came on my local news.

Yeah, sure.......just wait.
Deja Vu's problems couldnt hurt anyone.
Oh yeah, only the fact if your sitting in an A row and stick your legs out they will get crushed, and it's happenned on multiple occasions (not sure about GAm, but a few times at Magic).
And didn't they have to add the orange seatbelt because the black one connected to green harness wasn't designed for that application, but Vekoma decided they would rather save a few extra dollars?
It's not funny to have other people injured on a ride, or to say "Big Deal", or to say "Yeah sure... just wait." (until D Vu has critical injuries)

This may be a stupid question, but how does TTD's launch work? I tried to find a picture that would show me exactly how the cable fits in, but I couldn't find one. Does the cable run in a sled beneath the train, rapidly pull it along the straight away and then release it as it begins climbing the top-hat? I admit that I don't really know much about these things, so please don't laugh if I'm way off.
I'm gonna twist ya, and I'm gonna flip ya. Every time you squeal, I'm just gonna go faster and harder.
Sled under train, pulled by steel cable ( the one that broke..) and that cable runs into the motor house under the far end of the track where its connected to the Hydraulic motor ( I think its rated at 10,000 Horsepower.)
Ok, I'm just a little curious, does anybody know what time this happened? The reason being said is that it's just really ironic that Deja went down in the middle of the day on Monday, Then tuesday, they had maintance up on the towers checking the cables. Any connections?
Actually, that isn't ironic at all. If anything, the question should be whether or not that was conincidental. Now that I've finished being a pompous dork, I don't think that it's coincidental at all. While the cables on DV are checked over periodically, as is everything else on that maintenance beast, It would not surprise me at all if the accident at CP prompted the GAm crew to check over the DV cables for fraying. The way that the cables are designed to function on DV as compared to TTD are drastically different, in that the forces put on the TTD cable are much higher than those put on the cable for DV. However, it just makes sense to cover the bases like that.

I don't know the exact time but it happened Monday evening on Top Thrill Dragster, it wasn't early in the morning but I got the impression it happened somewhere between the afternoon and early evening. I'm yet to find an exact time, but it would make sense if they were checking DV's cable.
I do have to agree with Geno21K that the cables work in a different way. D Vu's cables have to be very slow compared to TTD. That ride goes 120 mph while going up the D Vu tower, it isn't more than 5 mph (I don't know, really slow though).
