Batman Station Music

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.
Postby coasterzak on July 7th, 2004, 12:17 am
Last time I was at Batman - 2 years ago - everything seemed to be by Prince and I didn't really care for the music. I heard some awesome techno music while waiting for the ride and you guys are the experts so I thought I'd ask. I know this has probably been brought up a thousand times but I'm sorry. What is the names to some of the techno songs from the station. The lady checking restraints said it was from the soundtrack. Well there are a handful of soundtracks, I would really like to know what the name of the song was with a girl-ish voice and techno music. Thanks for your help, it is greatly appreciated.

There is some U2, Seal, and other artists I can't think off of the top of my head. I think the soundtrack she was reverring to was the Batman Forever soundtrack. You can listen to previews of each song on there on a few websites until you find what you need.
Top 5 wood-5-Goliath 4-Ravine Flyer II 3-Phoenix 2-Voyage 1-El Toro

Thanks I really appreciate the help but I swear it is more than just what is on that soundtrack. I'm looking for a very techno-ish song and everything seems too hip-hoppy almost from the Batman forever soundtrack. It just doesn't have that smooth techno that I heard the other night in Batman's station. Someone has to know - maybe I am just overlooking a certain song on the cd. I would guess it's by a girl artist.

"The Passenger" by Michael Hutchence is a really cool song that you might be thinking about.

Yeah! I think it is the "touch me hold me" song! I was trying to listen to the words but could barely make them out...that sounds right though.

Would that be a techno version of the U2 song?

*shrug* It just sounds like 'touch me, hold me' as U2 has a song w/those lyrics... and someone mentioned U2 ^^^

Wrong Galvan, he's talking about the more modern one with the woman singning "hold me hold me, blah blah blah blah blah, feel me feel me, blah blah" something like that.

Here is a few batcave songs:
Batman Theme- John Williams.
Joker Theme Song.
Prince- Partyman.
Prince- Electric Chair.
Prince- Trust (in the ghetto area).
U2- Hold Me Thrill Me Kiss Me Kill Me.
Seal- Kissed From a Rose.
Micheal Huthenche- The Passenger.

Pretty much all of them except the one the author wanted :lol:.

Yeah that is right Virtua Tennis, I'm yet to find that one and I'm the author. Oh well I wrote this a while ago, I'm not in dire need to have it now. If someone finds it - it would be nice to have.

John Williams didn't do the music for Batman. Danny Elfman did.

Growing up as a kid the Batman station was the best part of the trip. Now it just sucks. The tunnels are to lit (I Know - Safety), The non Batman music sucks, and lets not forget the track color. Walking into Batman at night rocked. It was themed for the first movie where Batman wore a black suit. The ride should be black (Thats a whole other topic). For anyone riding the ride for the first time it was cool to see them in the dark tunnels - It added to the mystery. Hearing the soundtrack from the first movie rocked. Elfman is a great composer and hearing the main theme pumped you up. I was never a Prince fan, but his music from Batman rocked and it also got you pumped to ride the ride. Seal just doesn't do it for me. The techno stuff can be annoying when they are playing the same thing all over again. The ride ops were in costumes and the whole experience back then was much better. Change is not always good.

I feel sorry for anyone that didn't get to experience Batman when it opened

Ya know soxman, At first I didn't mind your Nit-Picky attitude (you actually had a couple decent posts). But now its really starting to piss me off, I know your just expressing your opinion, But its ALWAYS negative. And if you have nothing but negative comments toward SFGam, then why the heck are you posting here.

Edited because I noticed that I swore. My bad. :wink:

Batman is still good, and I like change. The ride looks great and I don't want to know what I am missing. Also, when you said "(That's a whole other topic"), your a little late at making one. lol jk :D

Who are you kidding. When I returned from my long vacation from the site I stated how happy I was with the park this year. The new team is doing a great job with the way the park is being run. I get people calling me negative on this site and I understand where they are coming from, but you have to realize I have been going to Great America for a long time. A lot longer than most of the grade school kiddies. The park will never be ran like it used to and it is a shame. I love Great America and I will let my opinion be known. Thats what these boards are for. It is about time someone is negative around here. Like I have posted before many people on this site think Great America can do no wrong and that is sad. Great America is one of the top three Six Flags parks in the counrty and I applaude them for that, but I will post when they do something stupid and not needed.

Sometimes negativity can lead to good conversations and people will understand others view points.

Vu you should care what you are missing. If they ripped out Vu without you trying it you would be upset. They took something that was good and went backwards with it. Thank you for proving my point - A member that thinks the park can do no wrong

oh and by the way Timmy I am glad that I get your approval of some of my posts - It means a lot :roll:

I Don't know how long you have been going to the park, nor do I care. I 'm twenty years old and have been going to the park relgiously for the last 10-15 years. I think the park has been doing AWESOME, I mean AWESOME job over the last 10 years. Not only have I seen the addition of Superman, Deja Vu, V², All of Southwest territory (let me guess next your going to tell me that Viper+Raging Bull were a mistake?) But I have also seen as of late one thing you hardly ever see at a park.

I Saw SFGam managment scramble to throw together a plan to Fix the biggest hole in their park, Only because that part of the park was a trash hole. SFGam Could have not cared and left that area a heap of worthless goods, but no, they fixed it up for pure guest satisfaction. Had they not done Mardis Gras, they would not have lost an ounce of attendance. Nor did they gain attendance.

And now they plan a waterpark to make the park a better family atmosphere.

Your right, horrible managment, how could I not see what a horrible job they've done.

Like I said, I don't want to know what I am missing when I am already happy with what I have. If DejaVu was taken out without me getting a ride, yes, I would be upset, but there are more things in this world to care about. I don't really care what the theming and experience was like on Batman before, because I like it now, and I don't want to feel bad that I know what I am missing.

"A member who thinks the park can do know wrong."

That is a very bold statement. You have no evidence to prove your statement. Just because I said that I like Batman how it is, it doesn't mean I think SfGam can do no wrong. I know they aren't perfect. I know they can do better. I'm one of the first people to remember that. Think about what you said.

I know, I know, I take things too personally. But when I have fingers pointing at me, I have to point them in the other direction.

Well Chimike was right - Timmy learn to read - I stated that park management has been very good this year. Also I have never stated my feeling for RB or Viper and if your only defense tactics are making things up your word is worthless to me. In fact, Viper is my favorite ride in the park. When WB lost the park to Priemere the park went down hill.

If you don't care how long I have been going to the park why would you respond with your age?

You have seen the addition of Superman - BIG DEAL. It was a clone and the ride is a lost cause after the first inversion. I liked Shockwave and I am NOT one of those people who cry for it back, but the park could have done more with the space they had.

You have seen the addition of V2 - Big Deal. in my opinion if you are not in the front seat it is a waste. Also a not very reliable ride. They ruined Yankee Harbor by putting it in. They just threw a ride down a ruined a beautiful part of the park.

You have seen the addition of Vu - BIG DEAL. The ride is low capacity and took forever to get it up and running. The ride is fun and exciting when it works, but a family coming from Indiana who comes for one day to ride Vu has very little chance of getting on because if its problems. Face it - it was a bad idea putting Vu in so quickly. I love having the ride, but it has been a nightmare the last three seasons.

M. G. had both pros and cons. King Chaos, Big Easy Balloons, and Jesters Wild Ride have been nice additions to the park where two rides had already been ripped out. Rajin Cajin is a mess. When you are walking from Batman it is so ugly. It is low capacity and the lines are crazy. They had to put rides in that section of the park. The walkway from Superman to Batman was dead. It was common sense that new rides would be placed in that area. The theme was rushed and really isn't all that. You should compare Southwest (WB Plan) to M.G (Premiere) and look at the difference. If they didn't plan M.G in advance like you say and they scrambled well the area of the park shows it. With R.C. we now have three yellow coasters in one area. Not very good planning. You are right - They fixed a hole in their park. You are praising them for doing their job. That hole should not of been there in the first place.

WB ran the park better and if you can't agree with that you spent all that time in the park blind in the 90's.

Recap for Timmy so he doesn't get confused

Management this year=GOOD
Viper=GOOD
SWT=GOOD
VU=GOOD (When it runs)
New M.G flats=GOOD
V2=Average (When it runs)
Superman=AVERAGE
Rajin Cajin=BAD
Past Management=BAD

From 1998 - 2001 you have seen coasters added but the overall park has suffered. Why was the old management team really replaced. They were not getting the job done and now we are heading in a better direction.

That is your problem - You dont read. You can go run and hide - You are like VT - you just can't support yourself with your own opinions.

I would rather see the park use their imagination and put rides where they belong. Have you been to other parks? Do you see how things are run at other places.

I don't need to PM you. I gave my opinion on the Batman station and you jumped all over me. AND you were wrong. I am not always negative and if you would actually read and not guess you could have something intelligent to say. If you can't take the heat stop posting.

The way you act I bet you are not even 20 years old.

So what is crap now
